Just days prior to his third bout with Tyson Fury in Los Angeles, the Bronze Bomber Deontay Wilder has signed on to star in promising PlayStation 5 and PS4 sim eSports Boxing Club. British developer Steel City Interactive has already compiled an all-star roster, including the aforementioned Gypsy King, as well as the likes of Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Oleksandr Usyk.
Expectations have been soaring for this sim ever since it was announced last year, and while the developer admitted recently that it had secured an additional round of funding and wasn’t ready to set a release date yet, every piece of footage shown thus far has blown our minds. With both Wilder and Fury on the billing, two of the biggest names in boxing will be along for the ride.

My word that’s a fantastic trailer. This is insanely promising. Between this and the AEW game coming out, I hope the big publishers take notice.
Good, I can't stand him... He's getting knocked out!
Exiting times for boxing fans. The markets really ripe pickings for a great boxing game and this looks like its coming along amazingly. Come on Gypsy King 💪💪💪
As a non-boxing fan, I've gotta say, this is a nice trailer. Might eventually pick this up.
Bomb Squaaaaaaaaaad!
Hopefully Fury retires him this weekend.
@roe - More like bum squad. Zero boxing skill, the dude is an embarrassment to the sport.
@Shigurui dudes a knockout artist and that's it
@Loftimus gotta agree..going to smash his smug face in...a lot
@Mgene15 - I agree he can crack but who has he ko'd really? Artur Szpilka, Chris Arreola and old man Luis Ortiz are about it as far as half decent fighters go. His record is padded with blown up cruiserweight journeymen who got ironed out by almost everyone they ever fought. My grandad could beat 90% of the road sweepers he's fought.
Does his special ability make him say excuses?
@Shigurui Rollseyes I'm no fan of his and he is a one trick pony but to call him an embarrassment to the sport...seriously lol bloody arm chair fans who have probably never been in a fight commenting on a world they wouldnt dare enter themselves because they know they wouldn't stand a chance lol
@StylesT - You know exactly nothing about me. Wind your neck in.
@Originut yeah, Deontay is an absolutely lovely man, respectful and humble, but he's not in the same league as the champions that have come before him, he's got power but his his boxing skills are not equal to it. Fury, also a thoroughly decent bloke, is the opposite; lacks power but a consummate boxer.
There's some here who are being very rude about Deontay. Anyone who gets in a boxing ring deserves more respect than that.
I may get this game too. I do enjoy a good boxing game and its been too long since Fight Night.
@Shigurui that's really harsh. Its not Deontay's fault he's reached the top during a time when heavyweight boxing has lacked top class fighters and personalities. Deontay has tried his best. He's given us someone to love/hate in an era where there is no one to aspire to.
If it weren't for Deontay there'd be nothing at all for Fury to play off of. AJ is boring, lacks stamina and too wholesome to truly excite. And now he's been beaten by a cruiserweight further showing how lacking the heavyweight scene is overall. At least the Deontay and Fury give us some of the razzmatazz we love from boxing, the rivalry, the bawdy bragging, the excitement we love about the sport. To say Deontay is an embarrassment is to fail to recognise that he has played a huge part in keeping Heavyweight boxing alive, relevant and in the public eye.
@Shigurui "zero boxing skill" I hate how people only speak in absolutes.
Sure, he should get beat from Fury this weekend but that's no shame given Fury is imo the best HW in the last 20 years but other than Fury and Usyk who else is honestly better than him? AJ? Whyte? Parker? Cmon mate... Be serious.
He's not the most technically gifted and relies on power heavily but he's actually more dangerous to Fury than Usyk would be and please, for the love of God don't mention AJ.
@solocapers agree on all points 👍
@Integrity Usyk making the jump up to HW is no real shame.
The 90's were some of heavyweights glory days and a certain boxer made that jump. You should know who made that jump.
@solocapers I don't mean it like that, what I mean is to look at AJ you'd think he was built to dominate the division but the reality is an excellent cruiserweight stepping up with better cardio than him beats him. Fury has gone on record saying Usyk is not a threat and Deontay would have no trouble knocking him out.
I know what you mean though, one of my favourite boxers was Evander
@Integrity - He is an embarrassment to the sport, from his heavy suit sapping his energy and Fury's loaded gloves to Breland spiking his water. Which part of his litany of excuses isn't embarrassing?
@solocapers - I never said he isn't dangerous and maybe zero was a tad harsh. I'll be generous and say extremely limited.
@Integrity When he said he wanted a death on his card he lost all respect. What type of scumbag says that?! He has that bomb in his very limited arsenal but its not enough against someone like Tyson. Hoping for another embarrassment for Wilder. Can't wait to hear what excuses he comes up with this time.
@starbuck2212
Tyson said of Lennox Lewis 'My main aim is to be proffesional, but to kill him......i want your heart. I want to eat his children. Praise be to Allah'
Mayweather said something some people thought racist at the time about Pacquiao "Once I stomp the midget, I’m gonna make that motherf***er make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice.”
Joe Frazier never forgave Ali for how he spoke to him according to his autobiography. Frazier wanted everyone to be elevated...“We must save our people, and when I say our people, I mean white and black,” to which Ali called him an 'Uncle Tom'
My point is there are plenty of examples of despicable things said in boxing. In Deontay's case I personally don't for a minute think he means it and its said for show because that's what he thinks is box-office. Considering what's been said in the past he's not exactly doing anything new. Sure it lacks class so I agree with you there, however AJ does the opposite and I find him incredibly boring so damned if you do and damned if you don't 😁😁 I don't think less of him though. If anything I think less of Ali because to me he meant every word of his insult to Foreman.
But I'm not going to tell you how you should feel. I respect that you have your own view on the matter.
@Originut oh yeah fair enough. In my mind I was thinking of interviews I've seen of him away from promoting fights or feeling like he needs to put on an act, where its just him being himself. Same with Fury. In interviews he's an incredibly thoughtful man.
Looking forward to that game!
@Shigurui And you clearly know very little about boxing...so take your own advice and wind your neck in
Let's just leave it with the obvious you wouldnt say Wilder is an Embarrassment to boxing to his face..so don't spurt such nonsense out from behind your little screen
Plastic 'fan'
This game has a cracking roster. What we don’t know yet is which of these names are paid dlc and which are not. They’ve said not everyone announced will be on the base roster
This game seems too good to be true. Insanely large roster, but no publisher announced? Very light on game specifics. They’ve been announcing fighters since forever, but no release date yet? Odd.
I hope there will be cosmetic dlc so we can buy THAT mask for Deontays character.
@BusyOlf or they could just include it. I remember when things like that were collectibles we'd unlock. They've conditioned us well 😔😊👍
@StylesT - Wait, what? You're making all kinds of assumptions about me but I'm the keyboard warrior? You're priceless. Btw I've probably forgotten more about boxing in the forty five years I've been a plastic fan than you'll ever know champ.
As an amateur boxer and fan of the sport, this looks brilliant. Hoping for a great fight on Saturday, Deontay will have a better shot this time and Fury will be, well Tyson fury. Would like to see how Deontay / Fury does against Ruiz next too. Then possibly a unification match in the Ukraine
Deontay is a big dosser.
this game looks really good but its getting a bit tiring watching them announce all these fighters and features but still no release date... just give us a date already mannn
Hopefully this is better than that other esport game....
Still no organic gameplay.
At this rate, the cost of getting all these top fighters as individual DLC will be ridiculous.
Because, you can absolutely guarantee people like Canelo, Fury, Wilder etc...are not in the bsse game.
The roster has become their prime focus and they still have shown us nothing beyond some edited clips.
