Tell you what, Media Molecule doesn't half pick some unusual collaborators for Dreams. The studio has worked alongside artist Noah Cyrus, the cast of the Jumanji movies, Wallace & Gromit makers Aardman, and even Mercedes-Benz on in-game projects. The team is adding to this eclectic collection of guests with the newly announced partnership with BBC Earth and Professor Brian Cox.
Yes, that's right — the northern national treasure is teaming up with Media Molecule with the game's latest community jam, the theme of which is 'Brand New Planet'. The jam will get started in-game tomorrow, 19th October. You'll have from then to submit your own creation based on that prompt.
Then, on 12th November, the professor will join Media Molecule on a live stream, in which he and the studio will explore some of the community's contributions to the jam. He might play your crazy level. Neat!
This is partly a promotion for the scientist/presenter's new TV show, Universe, which airs a new episode on 3rd November all about the possibility of other planets in our galaxy supporting life. If you're in the mood for some spacey, alieny goodness, it seems Professor Cox and Dreams will be delivering on that front in the coming days.
There's more info through here. What do you think? Will you be taking part in Dreams' Brand New Planet community jam? Space out in the comments section below.
