Hyper Light Drifter developer Heart Machine has made the difficult decision to delay its next title Solar Ash by a couple of weeks. Originally scheduled to launch later this month on PlayStation 5 and PS4, the promising indie game will now release on 2nd December 2021. The studio says this will allow for "more time to get the last pieces of polish and bug fixes into the game, while still navigating this global pandemic as a highly dedicated team. This short delay will help us get there."
There hasn't exactly been a ton of Solar Ash media shared in the lead up to the game's original release date, with three minutes of gameplay being the basis for our anticipation. Now, at least, the title will run better and contain fewer glitches than if it had launched in less than two weeks. "Thank you for your understanding, and we'll see you in the Ultravoid soon," signs off Heart Machine.
Had you been looking forward to playing Solar Ash later this month? Wait a little longer in the comments below.

Ah, I wondered why it was out this month but you couldn't preorder it.
Not unusual these days unfortunately. Probably for the best, the game looks interesting.
Soundtrack by Disasterpeace, so I am all in!
No problem for me, got too much to play this month anyway. Very excited for this one, so I'm glad they're taking their time!
Don't particularly mind because I still need a ps5 but isn't this the second delay already, hope it does turn out okay.
@AyanamiReign Same here, also weird that we still don't know the price yet.
