The trend of smaller-than-expected file sizes on the PlayStation 5 continues, with Dying Light 2: Stay Human weighing in at just 21GB. This is pre-patch so could bloat come its delayed 4th February launch, but is obviously quite small for a major AAA open world game. Sony’s vaunted Kraken compression technology has been generally driving a lot of file sizes down of late, as promised by architect Mark Cerny prior to release.

Hope it won't infect much of our wallets either...i'm afraid they will ask 70$ though
@dimi not sure of the price in your region but £55 preorder on the UK store, even cheaper for physical, so not too bad at all
That's the way forward..less internet traffic and less server storage to host the files..
Still waiting at the train station for Dying Light 60fps patch….
The first game was amazing I canstill load it up and play for hours and so excited for the second game.
What's the file size on PS4 ?
@SystemAddict logged in to say, Bravo Sir!
With Day 1 patch: 101.7GB
Not sure how good this will be, first one was great but they've clearly struggled with development so much that I wonder how much has been cut vs. How much has been refined
Will be very surprised if it stays that size.
It is a big open world game and with good vertical scale. Me think around 45/55 gb.
@Longondo Yeah I am hoping for a December patch, to make up for DL2 delay
I preordered this. looks great!!
Loved the first one!
Does anyone know if this is ps5 'out the box' or is a patch / ps5 edition coming at a later date?
@lolwhatno Same here, expect for me I found the story really dull. I need a decent story to carry standard OW gameplay. This may fit the bill, as they seem to be massively improving that area.
@MatthewJP 55£ is like 65€ so yeah it’s not like GT7 bad
I think it's absolutely ridiculous if it infects any percentage of the SSD! Why would anyone pay for a game that installs malware onto your PS5??? Truly shocking if true.
