Sony’s short but sweet behind-the-scenes video series for Gran Turismo 7 has continued in earnest, this time focusing on the simulation racer’s livery editor. Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi explains how some liveries are “inextricably” tied to historical motorsport moments, and thus have influenced Polyphony Digital’s approach to the PlayStation 5 and PS4 title’s livery editor.
This was, of course, already a feature in GT Sport, but Yamauchi explains how the developer has attempted to make the tools easier to use, in order to unleash the creativity of its community. We remember bombing around the Nurburgring with anime ladies on our Nissan’s door in the 2017 title, and intend to do exactly the same with the new game.

Not sure I’ll be day one at £70 for GT7.
Paid £18 for GT SPORT back in 2018 and got so many updates it’s often better to wait for a superior and more affordable experience.
GT needs to make their chase/3rdperson camera more flexible like every other game though, still too stiff after making all flexible adjustments, I mean you can't even see the sides of your car. And I don't wanna hear that "playing in 3rd for racers is hard or why would you look at the sides" bs excuses.
@TheArt here here and excellent comment. I love 3rd person car view and the current mode in GT SPORT feels quite sterile, not like Forza 7.
I still want offline single player saves, I think the reason sony make it online is because they plan to make pc version and feared pc player will hack the saves if the game has offline saves.
Already pre-ordered the 25th Anniversary Edition. I can’t wait. Just praying for the PSVR 2 announcement.
March can’t come soon enough.
Just picked up a copy of GT2. That's basically the same thing right?
@Gamer_Girl_ that's a great price, where from?
I can see me spending more time on this than actually racing, looks great
The reason I want a PS5! Easily my most anticipated game on any platform. Having put close to 100 hours into GT Sport I can’t get enough. I’ve been with this series since day one. Let’s go!
GT livery mode is like a game within a game. Hands down it's the best livery maker on a console. Can't wait for GT7 which will have more options to choose from
@TheArt I would hope for view improvements all around. Even in first person mode, why is the camera always so low? You could adjust it in Sport, but even at it's highest setting, it didn't feel 'natural'. Same was true in VR. the scale felt a little off
