Oft-forgotten third-person shooter Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is hosting a free weekend of play starting today until the morning of 8th November 2021. You'll be able to access the whole game for its duration, including the new Operation Motherland update, and your progress will carry over should you choose to buy the full title. Better yet, it's actually on sale on the PS Store for two weeks. If you like what you see, the Deluxe Edition can be purchased for £13.59/$17.49.
A PS Plus membership is required to take part in the free weekend, but once the client is downloaded, you're free to play the full game as you please. That includes the large aforementioned Operation Motherland update, which takes place after the events of the main campaign. With the map split up into different zones, you'll need to take down the enemy and target their bosses. The level cap has also received a huge jump, going from 30 all the way up to 99. It sounds like this free weekend grants you access to a ton of content, then.
In our Ghost Recon: Breakpoint PS4 review, we awarded the game a 6/10 and called it an "enjoyable open world excursion, provided you know what to expect — and let's face it, you probably know exactly what to expect." However, given Ubisoft's usual commitment to updating its games post-launch, the experience likely looks quite different two years later. The game also supports PlayStation 5, with two different modes to choose from: you can run it at 60 frames-per-second with a 1080p resolution or opt for 4K alongside the standard frame rate.

I'll only play it if they pay me.
This game isn't dead yet? and a weekend? seems like it should just be a week all things considered. It still has so many problems, the non-RPG mode is the only thing that makes it seem worth playing at all, especially given the 6/10 originally is one of the much more generous scores given to this massacre of a series.
Only reason why I haven't bought this game is due to the useless, forced online requirement.
