A new War Table for Marvel’s Avengers has been published, outlining everything you can expect to be added to the game in its massive 30th November update. This, of course, is the one that adds Spider-Man for PlayStation 5 and PS4 players, and despite what you may have thought previously, he looks fantastic in this new video overview. Naturally, the web-slinger doesn’t look quite as slick as in Insomniac Games’ dedicated titles, but considering this is a co-op affair featuring several other characters, we’re quite impressed.
That’s not all there is to look forward to, though: a first Raid promises some of the most challenging content in the game so far, while Power Levels are getting a boost adding new endgame activities, and the way you upgrade loot is being overhauled. More importantly, Shipments will provide new ways for you to unlock cosmetics with in-game currency, allowing you to spend Units on a varied stock of items. Crucially, you’ll be able to see what you’re getting before you pod out, with the contents rotating daily.
All in all, this does look like a good update, especially if you’re a PlayStation player. Is there enough here to rope you back in, though? Swing low in the comments section below.

Hope they let the game die after this one. CD needs to work on other, better, games!
I shall stick to playing Spiderman ps4
I would just like to come in here and say that the recent Guardians of the Galaxy game is very good aside from a few bugs and a lack of replayability and if you can grab it for a fair price you will be pleasantly surprised.
@AFCC How about they continue putting out content for the playerbase and not cater to those who aren't playing it.
@WallyWest So they can work on a better game? Just a thought.
I played Avengers via Steam game sharing when it first launched. I thought the game was mildly amusing, but was too mediocre for me to bother buying. Many months later, the game is a little less mediocre and much cheaper, so I bought it on PSN to give the campaign another go, grab some trophies along the way, and dabble with Spider-Man. As someone who owns the game, I do hope they can make the game actually good someday. I figure Square Enix will give up on it before then, though.
@sonicmeerkat I totally agree with you. The problem is it won't sell much because of the whole Avengers thing.
I tried it on gamepass a couple of weeks ago, playing as hulk is fun but playing as miss marvel and ironman is not. I don't understand why SE/CD license and make an avengers game, but make miss marvel as the protagonist.
It's like if sony/insomniac license/making wolverine game, but the protagonist is jubilee or squirrel girl rather than the wolverine itself, it's weird.
@wiiware ms marvel joined the all new avengers in 2015 if i remember rightly..the game also serves as an origin story for the character..seeing as the hulk, iron man, black widow and hawkeye are all in the game it more than warrants the avengers moniker..all the characters in the game were fun to play with as they all played differently from each other thus requiring different approaches to how you played the game..maybe if people focused on whats great about the game rather than jumping on the hate bandwagon it would fare better..online co-op (campaign) is still very good but the multiplayer side really needs more work..
@wiiware Ms. Marvel was my favourite one from the campaign, but, like most people, I prefer Thor for the online missions. So, it's all relative.
Drop in some X-Men, Wolverine or Rogue or Colossus, and I'll be back in a heartbeat.
@AFCC Can see where you coming from but it's been proven time and time again these games can be turned around I mean bungie done it twice. Perhaps atleast give the game a full year before shutting the book on it.
Yeah, it sounds like it's starting to come together, even as the price goes down. Seems like there's still every incentive to wait, but I'll probably give it a go down the line.
I got it on sale a couple of months ago and although it’s no masterpiece I enjoyed the campaign (even though it’s a little repetitive). Didn’t really dabble in the online aspect of it as that’s not generally for me but it’s a good “switch your brain off” game.
@sonicmeerkat just started it and it feels like a poor mans FF7r so far. Traversing the world is slightly better in guardians, but the combat is nowhere near as good.
Is it actually worth a playthrough now? The bad press was mad at the start lol
Finally picked this up for $10 new at a GameStop in the US on Black Friday! Figured it’s worth at least ten bucks lol
im still waiting for this game to go free , they got nothing to lose, do it already
Just in time for the spider trio movie.

lol keep it cant beat the offline experience from the 2 recent Spiderman games on ps4/ps5.
Not going to reinstall the game for this
I ended up picking it up on PC because the beta ran like hot garbage on my base model PS4, and put 170 hours into it, maxing out everyone but Tony and Hulk, but I picked it up a while back on PS5 specifically for Spidey. He was never going to play as well as he does in Insomniac's Spidey games, but just like Kate, Clint, and T'Challa before, I am again impressed at just how good he does feel to play.
Web swinging doesn't hold a candle to the Insomniac games, obviously, but it feels good in the context of this game. His kit is great and Crystal clearly spent a lot of time and effort getting his moveset and upgrades paths right.
Avengers is a good game with a lot of incredibly stupid design decisions that drag the whole experience down, but character variety and gameplay feel aren't among those issues. It sucks that Sony are so petty to keep Spidey only on PS, but he's a worthwhile addition to the game (I still think he'll come to other platforms next year, but we'll see),
@AFCC Agreed sadly, I hope they let Avengers die after this...
@WallyWest what playerbase? 😂
But seriously I played it but as soon as the campaign ends the game was over for me! The new character missions are cool but the endgame content is barebones
