A rather in-depth Tales of Arise survey from Bandai Namco is being passed around online (you can take it yourself by clicking through here). It asks some pretty interesting questions, about both the game and your own gaming habits. It covers all of the usual stuff, like how much you enjoy various features in Tales of Arise and whether you're familiar with other Japanese RPGs, but it also asks about potential genres for future Tales games, and if you'd be interested in remasters of older titles.
It's that last point that has Tales fans talking. The survey presents a list of previous Tales games, including Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Xillia, and even PlayStation 4 titles like Tales of Berseria. This isn't the first time that Bandai Namco has asked about potential remasters, either. Before the release of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, the publisher had raised eyebrows by posing the same queries.
In any case, it's an interesting time to be a fan of the Tales series. Tales of Arise has been a huge hit for Bandai Namco, with initial sales data suggesting that it'll be the best selling game in franchise history. There's little doubt that the publisher will want to keep pushing the brand now that it's tasted this kind of success.

I love what Square have been doing with ports of older games and I would equally love to see Namco give the Tales franchise the same treatment.
I'd like to personally see Abyss get ported the most then any and all the PS3 games.
I think a collection of Destiny I, Eternia and even a first English release of the actual Destiny II would be brilliant.
Finally while it's not a Tales game I would love to see Eternal Sonata ported, this time with trophies.
Just started genshin impact don't usually like games like that but tried it because it's free & I'm actually really enjoying it so I've downloaded the demo for this because it looks similar
Started playing tales a while back, I enjoyed it at the start but after around 10hrs or so I just got annoyed with it because there was so much talking. The game itself I was really enjoying, but the constant talking just got to me it was too much stop/start. I think I will get back to it at some point, because I think the game and probably the story are great but just too much waffling.
@BlaizeV A port of Eternal Sonata would be nice, preferably for both PS4 and PS5, just so anyone who hasn’t had the luck to get a PS5 isn’t excluded from enjoying the game if they missed it back on PS3, especially considering it ended up being something that’s harder to find these days. I’d love to play it again on PS4/5, though as I played it on the 360 back in the day I had no idea the PS3 release didn’t have any trophies.
On rereleases of Tales games though I’d definitely love to see the Symphonia bundle that was released for PS3 rereleased for current gen as well. Symphonia was one of my favorites(also the first one I played as well). Definitely not something I’d ever hope to platinum though because of how tedious Tales games are for the platinum and I don’t want to spend months grinding out trophies tbh.
I've been wanting the Xillia series collection for ages. It was the first game I played that got me into it. So I really want to play it again.
Would also love to see a collection for Symphonia, Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, Abyss, Graces F and Hearts R.
I don't mind them remastering them and wouldn't say no if they wanted to remake some of the oldest. Just hope it doesn't affect the development for brand new Tales of games so I would be fine if they wanted to make those remasters/remakes in between those.
I Wouldn't Mind a Remake Of Tales Of Legendia.
A remake for Symphonia would be insane to me. It's my favorite game.
I bought Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, Graces f, Xillia 1 + 2 for about 90 AU$ 2 years ago, I think I got a bargain. Still haven't played them though so ps4 ports would be nice for these as it is a hassle to get the ps3 hooked up.
Eternal Sonata was the first game I completed with all achievements on my first HDTV. I would love to play it a 2nd time.
And more Tales of games are always fine with me. Perhaps a hd version of Phantasia based on the GBA version.
@Camlambelot Eternal Sonata has my absolute fav JRPG OST. Also my personal favourite battle system. I love the Tales games but it is a shame that Tri Crescendo never got to make mor games like Eternal Sonata too.
Xillia and Xillia 2 do not need remasters IMO. Straight ports which solid frame rates is enough for me. The art style is good already.
They need to use that servery for all regions, not just Europe. Europe is not the only region that cares about the Tales series.
Tales of the Abyss remake with Tales of Arise's engine would be more than welcome to me
@gigiard ooh yeah. Just finished Abyss on the 3DS and it was fantastic
@AndyKazama I'm guessing "remaster" in this situation is basically another word for port. Vesperia's remaster was pretty much the same as the original on the visual level, just rendered at a higher res.
@KingPev @gigiard @TheGamerNextDoor @BlaizeV I would love to play an Abyss remake made with Arise's game engine, but sadly that's just a pipe dream for now.
