Another day, another Souls-like action RPG is brought to our attention. But wait, don't click off this article just yet! Thymesia actually looks pretty darn cool in this new gameplay trailer, which confirms that the game will slash its way to PlayStation 5 in 2022.
The press releases gives us an intriguing overview: "Set in a hauntingly beautiful world, Thymesia follows the mysterious half-human, half-raven Corvus as he tries to piece together his lost memories in an attempt to save himself and the kingdom he once called home. With punishing combat focused on Corvus’ ability to steal enemies’ plague weapons and use them for himself, perfect parries, dynamic dodges, and aggressive attacks are at the core of the challenges Thymesia has to offer."
Again, the gameplay looks slick and satisfying — a lot like Bloodborne but with an emphasis on agility. Are you interested in Thymesia? Please don't spread the plague in the comments section below.

Not too thrilled with this game. Bloodborne has set very high standards for me. But we should give this game a chance and see where this goes.
Which half of him is bird?
@MFTWrecks The half with his pecker I guess...
Looks alright.
Some people are (perhaps understandably) getting tired of Soulslikes by now. But I gotta say I've played a lot of them and the only one that wasn't at least alright, was Lords of the Fallen, which was kinda mediocre imo.
Thymesia - a condition where you forget your upper leg.
You're welcome.
Slow down with these souls borne games. Still have to play mortal shell.
@Marquez ThyMeSia - Me, me and both of us. Our split personality. You are welcome.
Another one? Hmm, Team 17 jumping on the souls style craze now.
@Jayofmaya Amazing. They said.
You need more than just a soulslike to sell your game.....
Coming to ps5 and xbox series x.
Thymesia: one who witnesses herbs
@Grimwood.......
Think exactly the same..... The game world looks like a boring empty corridor or boring empty museum........
As a longtime From soft fan, I'm still baffled by the praise given to Bloodborne. It was just ok and from a technical standpoint alone, very lacking. From soft needs to seek outside talent and be open to fixing and updating the poorly running and dated engine.
The combat in this looks great, but the level design looks empty
"Like Bloodborne"
The hell it is. I've been playing that game for about 4 years now. If anything, the environment looks sufficiently gloomy, but the magic/attacks are bright green, and the combat and camera look more like something out of Devil May Cry. I guess calling stuff "Souls-like" isn't so popular any more, so now we're gonna compare anything and everything with Bloodborne?
If you don't like these types of games, just move on. I don't see what there is to complain about.
I can't stand jrpgs, manga and anime, but I don't see why I should seek it out and whine about it.
The only thing I hate about souls like games is the levelling, it takes too long, the price always goes up and you are never quite as strong as you think you should be.
I was always scared of dying and not because of the monsters, because the true monster in souls games is the backtracking gamble to get your money back.
