Assassin's Creed Valhalla is getting a second year of updates and DLC — that much we already know — but it looks like Ubisoft is keen to show us what's in store before the end of 2021. It's teased a "live premiere", which will take place on the 13th December (that's next Monday) at 9AM PDT / 5PM GMT / 6PM CET.
We assume that this will be the full reveal of Valhalla's next expansion, which will supposedly involve the Norse version of Hell — known as Helheim. According to persistent rumours and educated guesswork, this will be a huge expansion, which was once set to be its very own Assassin's Creed title, before it was folded into Valhalla.
In any case, it sounds like all will be revealed next week.

Ehhhh. I’m kinda done with the mythological realms, I just didn’t find them as interesting as the historical stuff in Origins and Odyssey.
@nessisonett Odyssey literally had you playing as a Demi Goddess and had a huge expansion set in 3 big mythical lands.
Count me in! I found the mythological realms to be the best part of Valhalla.
@WallyWest That’s what I mean. I didn’t really like Curse of the Pharaohs or the other one that was in Odyssey’s stories. They felt out of place.
@FuzzyYellowBalls The realms are ultimately just a small chunk of the overall game, but I kind of agree with you. I think some of the storytelling in Asgard and Jottunheim was actually really interesting, and the environments were very memorable.
Agree with the sentiment above - historical AC wins over mythical AC everyday
@ShogunRok Agreed. Far too small of a chunk. I was saddened by how little time was spent in Asgard and Jottunheim. Don't get me wrong, I love the historical aspect of the AC games, it's why I enjoy playing them, but I think the last three titles have thrived when they've dealt with mythological realms.
@FuzzyYellowBalls As unpopular as the opinion seems to be these days (at least, among people on the internet), I agree. I think the most recent AC games are at their most creative when they're dealing with mad mythological stuff. Like the Minotaur dungeon/fight in Odyssey, or the Curse of the Pharaohs DLC in Origins.
I get that not everyone wants that sort of stuff from AC, but I really do think that you get to see the developers let off their leash to some degree, and it usually results in some cool stuff.
@ShogunRok @FuzzyYellowBalls Agreed with you both, I'm looking forward to fighting the mythological enemies.
