Fortnite may not be for you, but you have to give it props when the Battle Royale shooter fully implements a new feature that's exclusive to just one skin and looks completely natural in-game. And that is exactly what has happened with wall crawler Spider-Man in Chapter 3, who is able to web swing about the map. Using the buildings throughout the map, it's a manual method of swinging that allows you to quickly zip about locations rather than covering great stretches in an instant. A Twitter video showing all this off has now gone viral, garnering over 35,000 likes at the time of writing as well as almost 6,000 retweets. Talk about engagement.
As you can see in the clip below, which has been viewed one million times, Spider-Man flings himself off a house before shooting a web out to a rotating taco sign and landing back on the ground. A follow-up video also shares how you can even websurf along the ground.

Again, it doesn't look like you can gracefully swing from location to location since there's usually a fair bit of greenery separating the various landmarks of Fortnite's map, but for getting out of a tight situation in a flash? Spidey can work his magic, it seems. For more on Fortnite Chapter 3, click the link.

Seems like they should have used the refresh as a chance to add more verticality to the map. Web-swinging mechanics, as good as they may be, aren't much fun on a map like that.
This ability isn't exclusive to this skin, I think. There was a random skin webslinging in the chapter 3 trailer
They have more Spiderman content then the Avengers
Fortnite beating Avengers at the Spider-Man thing. Wasn't expecting that.
@Cadeni Correct. Spidey's gloves will be a legendary item added in a few days.
Best £5.99 you’ll spend this year (for the Battle Pass).
I wish I liked BR games, Fortnite gets all these awesome cross over events.
That's gotta be tempting to a lot of people. But as a long time popular battle royale game isn't any noobie going in there now just going to get instantly slaughtered? I think the chapters are a way to reset the stats but the skillset would still be there.
I was decent at Spaltoon but after skipping 2 I think I'd be massacred trying to jump back in for 3 after all these years off. I can't imagine lasting more than a few seconds in Fortnite.
It’s bizarrely better than the Avengers game.
So they had the better Cap design compared to Avengers and now they have the better web swinging?
Epic developed Marvel game when?
@Pleasance agreed
Looks even better than the floaty swinging from the new SM games. Sometimes they don't even attach on there and the game is afraid to let you gain momentum or let you touch the ground. It's all so chewed out, boring and physicsless. I've been b*tching about this since day 1.
Lo and behold freaking FORTNITE comes out and shows them how it's done... It's a joke. A complete joke, but more power to Epic.
They should just put some physics back into games ffs
i wish this "game" would go away. they even had a video screen in the game a year back i think it was, pushing political propaganda, gamers were throwing in-game tomatoes at the screen lol
@Pixelated
This “game” has been a godsend for me who lives across the country from my nephew and the two of us have a blast playing it. It’s a ton of fun, sorry it isn’t for you. Also if by political propaganda you mean Dr. Martin Luther King’s speech then you’re seriously warped, because there’s nothing political about what that man worked and fought for. Not really sure it needed to be in a cartoony shooter game, but show some respect.
That is almost hilarious enough for me to try Fortnite...nah I still got better games to play.
