Babylon's Fall has been on an interesting trajectory since its announcement. Unveiled in 2018 for PlayStation 4, the game is now launching on PS5 too, and the action game has received a very mixed response over the years. Square Enix and PlatinumGames are back, though, with a brand new gameplay trailer — and, crucially, a release date.
The game looks like another stylish hack-and-slasher from the famed Japanese studio, only this time in four-player co-op. You'll have to work as a team as you work your way up a tower full of baddies and bosses to tackle. If you're not feeling so friendly, you can go it alone, too. When can you do this? As long as there are no further delays, the game is scheduled to launch on 3rd March, 2022.

Looking like a purchase. Haven't played a hack 'n slash since Dragons Crown. So a puff & a slew of rum.
@Alduin "Save your money for something actually worth playing."
For example that other PlatinumGames game releasing next year: Bayonetta 3
Platinum games are usually pretty reliable for entertainment so will be keeping one eye on this.
Saw co-op, was hoping for couch co-op, doesn't look like it though.
I'm a huge Platinum fan. I buy almost everything they put out; this game might be the exception to the rule. I really hope they take the closed-beta feedback to heart and fix it's problems. As of when I last played it was a dreadful experience from Graphics to gameplay. It was just so boring which is completely opposite from a average game from this studio. Definitely be weary of this one guys, I'm having more fun with the Avengers then I had with this game.
Edit: Would like to add that I really did want to have fun with game. I'm all-aboard for a melee focused Live service game that competes with Destiny. I hope they do release one last beta period to prove me and the others who played it wrong.
@Futureshark depends which team are doing it. Platinum seem to have an A team (Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, Vanquish) and a B team (star fox zero, legend of kora, TMNT Mutants in Manhattan)
The difference between babylons fall and bayonetta 3 is that hideki kamiya is not involved in one of them
I don't know. This game looks like a PS3 beta game or something. Nothing what I would have expected out of Platinum. I bet the next Nintendo exclusive besides Bayo 3 will look just as beautiful as that game. Speaking in reference to Astral Chain. That game was amazing and played amazing.
I was interested until I saw the graphics and heavy focus on co-op...if I do still play this it will be after seeing reviews and launch gameplay.
