Atlus is re-releasing Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on PlayStation 4 next year. The original launched for PS3 back in 2013, so it's been a long time since the Arena franchise was mentioned in any official capacity. For those totally out of the loop, Ultimax is a one-on-one, 2D fighting game developed by the masters over at Arc System Works. For what it's worth, we think it's a fantastic title.
It's out on the 17th March for what we assume will be a budget price (don't screw us on this one, Atlus).

Top trolling from Atlus once again.
(I'll definitely play this again.)
@ShogunRok They really pulled a this huh?
Great game but this is completely unnecessary and I'm guessing no one was asking for it either but here it is anyway π€·
All the xbox fanboys still thinking Sega going to be bought by microsoft ππππ
Got so excited seeing Teddie. Then instantly deflated realizing it's the fighting game spinoff from ps3. So close to what people have been asking for years
Atlus are great, you never know what's coming next. System, franchise, remaster, who knows.
That said, if this gets a physical release, it'll prob be worth a fortune in five years time.
Was hoping that it would be Persona 4 Golden but I'm not gonna complain about P4AU.
@Juanalf Speak for yourself, because I for one wanted it, and I am hyped that this game can finally be played on Morden systems and PC. Even better that it is the arcade sxclusuve version of the game, never saw a system release.
Let's hope it has rollback netcode, so that I can actually play it online if I buy it. I hope it sells well so that they can make another one for Persona 5
Yep I'll take this. Never played it before so this was great news.
This was the game that got me into Persona. A great fighting game that I played a lot on the 360 some years ago. Iβll definitely get this again.
Great, now release Persona 4 Golden on PS4/PS5 XD. Pointless to have this game on PS4 without P4G.
Itβs a good game for sure but be warned, itβs a sequel to both Persona 3 and 4. Very very spoilery in certain aspects, especially with regard to a specific character from 3.
@Jayslow hearing new Teddie voice lines was almost worth the deflation of it only being the fighting game for me! Sam Riegel's still got it lol
I would prefer Persona 4 Golden to release on PS4/5 but I'll still buy this just to show my support to Atlus.
I was hoping Persona 5 Arena was coming instead but this is cool too. I'll pick it up for sure again. Never did get around to finishing the P3 side of the story back on PS3 so now I got a chance to correct that along with playing with friends online.
Seriously how about persona4 for all platforms?
Dont care for this at all
Atlus keeps porting the sequels to spinoffs. Why aren't we also getting the original P4A and a P3 port seeing as how this is also a sequel to P3
