If you’ve ever wanted to wear your fandom for FIFA 22, then you may be eager to learn that high-street retail chain Sports Direct is now stocking home and away ICON kits inspired by the game. Available in both adult (£19.99) and junior (£14.99) guises, these shirts are eligible for the store’s My ID customisation program, meaning you can get your name and number put on the back if you like.
“We take pride in being the number one destination for football – whether that’s in the virtual or real world,” marketing bigwig Beckie Stanion said. “Being the first high street retailer to stock the ICONs shirts is just the beginning of an exciting partnership with EA Sports, so watch this space for more products and in-store experiences.”

It’s worth noting that Sports Direct and GAME are owned by Mike Ashley’s Frasers Group, so it makes sense that the budget sports retailer would turn its hand to crossovers with gaming. In fact, this is all part of a larger initiative from the store known as Game Recognises Game, which seeks to “blur the lines between the virtual and the real world”.
