As promised, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 — the movie sequel, that is — got its debut trailer at The Game Awards.

You know what? It looks pretty good! Obviously with the blue blur established, the stakes are going up, which means Dr. Robotnik has gone even crazier, the Chaos Emeralds are coming into the fold, and more furry friends are leaping into the real world.

Tails makes his arrival proper in this one, bringing his signature biplane with him. Knuckles, voiced by Idris Elba, is also making an appearance, but he's on Robotnik's side.
