A little earlier in the year, we were treated to a brand new trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the next game from Batman Arkham dev Rocksteady. So far we've had a cinematic CG trailer and an in-engine trailer setting up the narrative. We just needed to see some proper gameplay, and courtesy of The Game Awards, we now have that too.
As you can see, it's looking real good. The gameplay here looks slick and energetic, with each of the four anti-heroes of course having unique gameplay and abilities. Whether it's chomping heads as King Shark, acrobatically downing baddies as Harley Quinn, or zipping around at high speeds with Captain Boomerang, it all looks like seriously good fun from where we're sitting. In Rocksteady we trust.
The game, which tasks you with taking down Justice League heroes like The Flash, is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 in 2022. What do you think of this new trailer? Tell us in the comments section below.

The movement has me hyped!!
Loving all the references as well, Rocksteady looking to be making another banger!
Best thing at The Game Awards so far, not even close.
And I'm not even a DC fan!
Giving me Sunset Overdrive vibes in this trailer (which is a good thing). Looks great.
I did love the irony of Captain Boomerang calling The Flash a ‘mascot’.
I can see it now...pressing X,X,X,X, dodge roll, follow minimap. Yawn. Let me know if they ever get around to Injustice 3... (sorry, disappointed fighting game fan here, lol).
@fR_eeBritney Color scheme and over the top madness is very Sunset Overdrive. Some of the movement looked pretty good too. My concern is rather than that free flowing action we get Batman. Batman is fine for Batman but I just want to go nuts.
Trailer got my inner child all giddy with excitement!
Shame we still don't have a confirmed release date yet, but hopefully we'll start seeing more updates soon.
Will be interesting how they are going to explain why a bloodlusted Flash doesn't just end in the world in the time it takes Superman to reach mid blink. Looks really fun but there's no way Barry doesn't just end that team before they even know it, hopefully there's some story reasons for this.
Was kind of disappointed in the gameplay. Looks about like Gotham Knights. Rocksteadys silence in the details of this game tells me its another mp game as a service, and if thats the case its a hard pass.
What was with that weird lady who was complaining about things before they played this trailer?
@Milktastrophe
Amanda Waller
She is the director for the deadly missions of the Suicide Squad and a specialist who oversees research into people with powers. Although she lacks superpowers herself, the character is a ruthless, high-ranking government official who uses guile, political connections, and sheer intimidation to achieve her goals, often in the name of national security. Waller is commonly associated with the fictional government agencies Checkmate and A.R.G.U.S.

Looks good but I rather play as the justice league rather than kill them.
Looks fantastic. Love the move away from dark levels, aka sunshine. Day one!
@fR_eeBritney same here…I watched after and scanned through and stopped midway on the trailer and completely thought awesome new Sunset Overdrive. Looks cool though.
@Ken_Kaniff this trailer confirmed it was a MP live service game in my eyes. They're doing the thing where they use character dialogue as if it was party chat.
@ThomasHL Yea its disappointing, oh well there's plenty of other games out there that want my money.
I don't care what this game is (GAS/Etc.), the gameplay looked fun and frenetic.
I'm not sure your claim that was PS5 game play is correct. I would imagine at this point we any game play would be PC based.
I wish they'd make this game tense and scary, sort of like the boys. Homelander and the other sociopathic "heroes" scare the sh** out of me.
