One of the most iconic characters within the world of Middle-earth is Gollum, a being so obsessed with the One Ring that he's been driven insane. We probably don't need to explain who he is, though, right? If you were curious to learn more about the character, you could always check out The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, his very own upcoming game.
We won't need to wait long to see the game in action again, either: it's now been confirmed to be shown off at The Game Awards:
This is the first game — as far as we're aware — that's assured its presence at Geoff Keighley's awards ceremony. Previously, this title has shown snippets of gameplay footage, and it's looked rather rough. Hopefully, it'll put in a more impressive showing this time around.
Anyway, are you looking forward to seeing The Lord of the Rings: Gollum at The Game Awards? Emerge from the shadows in the comments section below.

I'd bet money that this will be turd.
Haha
That good new for the section of the Middle Earth franchise waiting for the game. I sure he'll be thrilled to see it.
Propably gonna win "least anticipated game" award
Woahohoho definitely ready for some hot Geoff x PS2 looking game action.
The game no one asked for
I have low expectations for this. If it turns out to be great, fantastic! Calling it now though, 6/10
Is this the PS5 exclusive from E3 2019?
Still holding out for this one just because the whole thing seems so silly, there’s no way I couldn’t get at least some enjoyment out of it!
@MyThoughts31 no it’s not PS5 exclusive
Yes....yes Warner Bros. This is what I want to see at the shill awards definitely this and not Hogwarts Legacy brilliant
Is it only me because i really dont have high hopes for this.
@Icey664 i want it.
Wow. First The Matrix licensed games, and now LOTR licensed games, to go with our upcoming, delayed Harry Potter licensed game.
Looks like I'm the only person looking forward to this game..
I’m looking forward to it in the same way I’m looking forward to anything Transformers based. And I can forgive a hell of a lot if it’s got Transformers in it!
@Icey664 nothing wrong with games that we aren’t asking for. Otherwise it’d just be remakes and sequels, right?
What's the target audience of this game? Me and many other tolkien fans will never buy a game about Gollum. Shadow of games might have had great gameplay but the world was bleak and empty obviously because it's mordor so they should explore other regions from the legendarium. Beren and Luthien would make a great game adaptation because beren ventures a lot and is an actual warrior
Yah this game makes no sense. It's been at every one of this dude's little award shows as well, which are just glorified
extended advertising anyways; but I just don't see how anyone wanted this game or how it got greenlit.
Why was this game greenlit in the first place? Sure Gollum is recognizable, but no one actually wants an entire game about the annoying thing. I bet the higher ups were like, "oh I know who that is!" And just greenlit it.
I rather another shadow of mordor.word up son
Think some of the comments above are a bit harsh - sure, it’s not at the top of my Want list but I’m interested to see what they do with it. I’ll save judgement until we’ve properly seen it.
If done right this could be so good, love LOTR and a stealth game set in that universe sounds right up my alley.
@kyleforrester87 Im still waiting for one remaster or remake of Legend of Dragoon. I rather have a remaster because by the time FF7R is finished im probably dead.
Lord of the Boring... I could never get into it.
That twitter announcement is sad, it's like they made it in an empty room.
That is one ugly looking game.
Please no... Somebody please put it out of its misery.
@Rjak "It's a pity Bilbo didn't kill him when he had the chance"
"Pity?...it was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand
I will be shocked if this game performs well upon release...but will be keeping an eye on it since I am still a big LOTR fan.
@Keyblade-Dan haha, so good
