For PlayStation fans, the UK's physical game charts have been a bit of a snooze fest for a while, with little movement among the top sellers and a noticeable amount of Nintendo. This week's top 10 is a classic example, with an impressive six of the games featured being exclusive to Switch. Thankfully, some popular franchises mean that PS5 and PS4 software is hanging in there.
FIFA 22 returns to its spot at the very top, for example, with almost half the copies sold being the PS4 version. Similarly, Call of Duty: Vanguard moves up into third place. The PS5 and PS4 versions combined account for 64 percent of the week's physical sales. Elsewhere, Just Dance 2022 — admittedly not a top seller on Sony's systems — shimmies up to fifth, and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy moves down to eighth. Far Cry 6 was in ninth last week, but has now dropped from the top 10, residing in 12th.
Here's the latest top 10 in full.

Happy to see Guardians Of The Galaxy still in the top ten!
I still choose Dance Dance Revolution games than Just Dance games.
DDR is way much better than Just Dance in term of gameplay and songlist.
Never like Just Dance games.
Can someone explain the obsession (and good sales) with Fifa and CoD games?
I dont understand as they are more of the same every year
It'll be interesting to see how many years Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can keep selling like a brand new game. It's going to be more than a decade before we get a new one, lol.
Kinda eerie not seeing GTA V in that list, though.
@misak192 the people who play it are obsessed with it. They don’t care about full price or any other game that isn’t yearly sports games and COD and they will only those games as they are “gamers”
@misak192 I'd say it's because the casual crowd simply want to pick up and play, if these games were vastly different every year then they'd have to learn how to play the new one which would be off putting to them.
@misak192 Same as anything else u do ever year some of us like cod and play it ever year . None of this BS about casuals , over 30 year hardcore gamer here play a lot of games and still like most Cod games !
I pick up COD every year and I’m not casual. I enjoy the change of scenery each year. BF2042 tried to be different and it’s not even in top 10 anymore.
I play many different type of games but COD always seems to make me come back each year cause I enjoy it.
Weird to not see GTA V there but at least there's more variety with multiple Switch titles and the usual FIFA and COD taking up the charts because British people just love them for some reason. And MK8D is in the charts as always, never imagined a Wii U game released in 2014 would be selling this well on another platform several years later.
So if COD is just 64% on PS5/PS5 that means Xbox Series X made a massive sales jump, even with Halo free to play. The Playstation consoles sold around 80% of physical versions up until now. Bad sign for PS.
But UK is not a showing of all Europe landscape. Mainland Europe is much more PS oriented.
@Sil_Am Trashbox is dead worldwide, its getting trounced by PS5
@marty8370 That explains why its just as hard to find a Series X as it a PS5, and why the Series S dominated black friday sales. Trounced indeed!
@Ichiban Black friday Trashbox S sales were only US. Worldwide Trashbox will never dominate.
@marty8370 Are you 4 years old with that "trashbox?"
Like really?
