Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown is getting a meaty DLC pack on the 8th December. The artfully named 'Yakuza Series Collaboration Pack' includes loads of costumes based on characters from the Yakuza games, but that's not all. It also has Yakuza music tracks (we're headbanging already), loads of new customisation items (over 650, according to the press release), and rearranged Virtua Fighter 3 tunes. There's been no word on price, however.
It's worth noting that Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown was 'free' through PlayStation Plus earlier this year, so if you're a Yakuza super-fan and you're desperate to get in on this DLC, you may already have access to SEGA's remastered beat-'em-up.
Will you be kicking your way back into Virtua Fighter 5 for this? Crack your knuckles in the comments section below.

Is there anyone who plays this game these days?
I played this a ton when it was released, but sadly the rust has started to accumulate on my VF skills. Time to hit the dojo so I don’t get wrecked by a bunch of Kiryu wannabes.
Virtua fighter 5 ultimate showdown is my favourite fighting game.
Been awhile since I played the game. Got in a few online matches here and there. I’m definitely rusty.
@dasd2 I played it and I think it's pretty good. Solid reviews as well. Not a Yakuza fan but very cool DLC.
this advert felt like it was produced by Tim and Eric
I would have rather we gotten an actual new character from Yakuza instead of just skins but this is still cool. Hopefully Majima can be a full blown character in VF6 one day!
@dasd2 this game is awesome and still a high class 3D Beat Em Up
Just bring Kiryu or Majima to Tekken 😩
Ok SEGA, I will stop playing Final Showdown and pick this up. (Will keep playing FS on xbox though) still my favorite fighting game.
This game has been a blast, I played around 300 matches but then GBF Va carried me away…
I liked this Virtua Fighter game, but I have gravitated to Mortal Kombat more and more these days and other fighting games (as well as fighting games in general) don't hold my attention as much.
As a side note, is the Yakuza Remastered collection worth snagging? I've played Yakuza 0, Kiwami, Kiwami 2, Yakuza 5, and Yakuza 6. I've enjoyed them all. I'm not sure how the older titles told up.
