Game Informer is coming in clutch with all the big cover stories to start the New Year. Its previous issue featured an exclusive feature on Horizon Forbidden West, and now it’s following it up with fellow February favourite: Elden Ring. The content will include a preview based on a whopping 10-hours of gameplay, alongside extracts from a one-hour interview with legendary game director Hidetaka Miyazaki.
The blurb teases: “In our 18-page cover story, we take on the game’s first major boss, explore previously unrevealed areas of the open world, journey to the magical Roundtable Hold, and delve into dungeons big and small. The world of Elden Ring has no shortage of secrets to find, and we discover some fascinating mysteries during our brief foray into The Lands Between. In addition, Hidetaka Miyazaki discusses numerous facets of the game with us, from George R.R. Martin’s exciting collaborative aspects to a rekindled love for creating poisonous swamp environments.”
You can find out more information, including how to get the issue, through here. In the meantime, though, feast your eyes on the stunning artwork embedded above.

Thanks but no thanks. Not spoiling it for myself now it's so close!
How is it Game Informer tend to get all these mad exclusives?
I'm sure your character's shoes is gonna be making a lot of noise in hallways. Tsk would've gotten this but HFW has to come first.
@kyleforrester87 it's got the most subs of any game mag in the world.
@kyleforrester87 Huge reach! I think they're something to do with GameStop, but a US commenter will be able to clarify.
No thanks for now…. Horizon Forbidden West will OWN all my game time for a few weeks…. Maybe after…
Man I can't believe history is just repeating itself again. When Horizon Zero Dawn first launched it enjoyed a couple of weeks in the spotlight before getting just completely overshadowed by Breath of the Wild. And now the the exact same thing is going to happen to its sequel only with Elden Ring. This series just can't catch a break!
@get2sammyb yeah. Each gamestop pro member, gets a subscription to gameinformer(other perks, as well), physical or digital.
Is this the same interview UK Edge mag last month? It's sounds pretty much identical.
@AgentMantis Edge didn't have gameplay, it was just an interview.
Gotta take care of the Dying Light that’s on the Horizon
Then I’ll grab this on a deal 😉
Getting Game Informer digital is so counter intuitive for europeans. I spent 15 euros and don't know if I get the magazine or no...their costumer support is also terrible.
Aight that cover art is mad fire though... props to the artist
I'll read it with one open, hoping for minimal spoilers.
@Grimwood Why are you here again? You seem to have a massive hate boner for souls games. Lol
@get2sammyb If I am correct, Gamestop, or its parent company, owns Game Informer, which explains the perks previously alluded to in a previous comment.
@Grimwood this is similar to dark souls but is different enough & why do you care so much?
@kyleforrester87 Game Informer is the #1 gaming magazine in the world with the most amount of active subscriptions.
They also happen to be ran/owned by GameStop, so that's another big reason.
