As was expected – and previously announced – Death Stranding Director’s Cut will launch on PC from 30th March. Unlike other recent PC releases, such as God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn, this will not be published by PlayStation – despite it being a Sony game. Instead, 505 Games will publish it on Steam and Epic Games Store, as was the case with the original.
It’ll retail for £34.99/$39.99, but those who already own a copy of Death Stranding for PC will be able to upgrade for £10/$10, as was the case on the PlayStation 5. Personally, we enjoyed this re-release of Hideo Kojima’s oddball delivery sim, as we felt it included some really cool new gear and quality of life improvements. You can read our review through here.

That’s a really decent price point. Glad not everyone’s joining the price hike on PC.
What's the point in locking down 3rd party games that won't set the world on fire for a year? Most people would have bought the PS5 version anyway.
Curious how these new upgrade fees will fly with PC gamers.
@Tharsman pc players will pay 50 dollars for a port of god of war which you can get a bargain bin price for on PS4, does that answer it for you?
This is going to have some crazy mods I'm sure.
PS5 Available at Currys UK right now.
However expensive bundles only £600 plus, as bad as scalpers.
This should be stopped and all consoles should also be made available solo.
Isn’t life getting expensive enough as it is in the UK without these shop arseholes doing this!!!
@Tharsman They won't fly. PC gamers won't roll over like console gamers will.
@Floki yeah, theyll just torrent the crap out of it 🙄
@vapidwolf1 my thoughts exactly.
Torrential brain
I check PC sites for pc news,why is this here ?
@vapidwolf1 There's no way PC players will fork out $70 for any kind of game, the upcoming Square Enix games will probably be some of the most torrented or they will wait months if they have to for a decent price.
@Radekbejbl1
"I check PC sites for pc news,why is this here ?"
because you wrote it.
@Dezzy70 I saw them on the shelf at a Smyths a couple of weeks back, Went back the next day to pick one up for a friend and all gone. But they are showing up in the wild. I think the scalpers days for PS5 and SX are close to being over. Wish the same was true for Graphics cards.
@GorosBat not the same concept at all. For years PC users have rallied against such attempts and publishers ended up, very often, just making the Steam upgrades free unless they were beefy enough to be seen as DLC.
This year has seen a huge wave of such upgrades though, but this one is a sketchy one given how recent the regular edition launch of this game is for PC.
@Juanalf if it has denuvo it won't be "torrented" unless empress cracks it
@TooBarFoo
Smyths toys are good they don’t lock them behind bundles, like Currys, Game and now even Argos yesterday with Series x.
Good stuff. Hope more people get to enjoy this weird ass love it or hate it gem.
@Radekbejbl1 they say its because a lot of playstation owners like pc as well,well I like food can I have the latest Iceland deals please,oh and whats happening in the world of love Island for the Mrs.
@vapidwolf1 Or just compared until the developers hands out a free upgrade to deluxe edition.
@Juanalf Yeah... Most PC gamers don't even want to fork out $60 for a game. Most PC games launch with a discount.
@GorosBat Yeah, because the better option is to buy a $399 last gen console for a bargain bin $20 game kek.
@GorosBat You'd have to buy a whole PS4 for it if you only own a PC, but factor in all Sony-exclusives-that-are-now-on-PC games you can get for like 40$ cheaper on a PS4 and you'd have a great deal
