New PS5 Controller Colours Available to Buy Now

I really want the purple one but I have literally no need for a second controller. I might convince myself I do have a need within days

The blue and purple ones are a nice shade. I've seen these available for £50 from coolshop but they've not got stock at the moment. Keep a look out on HUKD for someone to post a deal when they are available.

Trigger has just gone on one of mine...convenient timing.

Kind of wish that one of my controllers breaks so that I have an excuse to purchase one of these xD

Rather poor color designs compared to the PS4 controller colors that were available this soon after release, at least the ones I bought in Japan. Also, really wish it were possible to order custom controllers like Xbox. Would be nice to get some official Death Stranding controllers (or other IP) at least.

I've already had problems with two of my controllers and had to send one back for repair, so I anticipate this year a lot of people may need replacements. Would like some cooler stock lined up if that happens.

Going to have to wait for mine to break to justify that level of spending as I have no real reason for a second controller (other than I want one!)

Picked up a purple today, looks nice. White and black is still my favourite. Was able to trade in a old DS4 controller and an old game and got 50% off.

I picked up the Red one when that released and with these new colours added, I'd have still bought the Red (or Black) over these. That being said, I'd buy the Purple or Pink one too over the White - but I couldn't bring myself to buy a 'Blue' controller...

I like the purple and blue ones (as well as black and red). Might pick some up soonish.

The touch pad on my launch controller feels like it’s starting to come off - anyone else have this issue?

@elvisfan1 Can you describe "gone"? I bought the red 1 early last year - so not this 1 I guess - and the right bottom trigger, not the top bumper, seems, off? I only got a PS5 at Thanksgiving so I've only used it about 20 hours or so, but the trigger feels like it sticks sometimes but other times it feels like it isn't working at all. I'm playing Sackboy now and R2 grabs stuff and sometimes I don't. But the weird feedback bothered me during Astrobot so I'm not sure if I'm just not liking the feel or it's broken? Next time I play co-op w/ my wife I'll switch, see what she thinks.

Nintendo fixed my drifting joy con for free, maybe Sony can fix a $75 6 month old broken controller? Time to google.

@elvisfan1 If the trigger is really loose and sensitive, you may have a broken spring. Check up on Youtube for a tutorial and hop onto eBay and buy a 4 pack of the springs for a cheap price.

My day one Dualsense's L2 spring broke while playing Death Stranding and I'm waiting for the replacement springs to show up. Already took the controller apart. Really easy if you watch a tutorial first.

@Deadlyblack Yeah I think the spring is gone in R2 thanks to Wreckfest. My car was dying so haptic feedback was really strong and then something just went and now it's dead loose.

@rjejr Mine sounds slightly different to yours as it's just completely gone.

@elvisfan1 Sounds like the spring. Like I said, just look up a Youtube video on safely taking the controller apart to 100% confirm the problem and order some replacements.
My spring was broke and just sitting down by the rumble motor with nothing in the slot.

Purple looks clean. I’m planning on picking up a PS5 at some point later this year… thinking of snagging the purple controller and purple plate. Either that or black.

@DeathByLasagna that would make a great looking os5. Ive thought about doing something similar.

This reminds me of Apple launching new iPhone colours - they are OK but never quite what you want…

I already have 4 Dualsense controllers but I'll definitely be adding all 3 of these to the collection soon enough! I love the Dualsense! Keep the new colors coming Sony and I'll keep buying em!

Already have original + midnight black, and I rarely - if ever - have people over so my need for even a second controller is pretty much non-existant… So, naturally, I had to pre-order the purple one 😑🙃

@elvisfan1 Thanks. I played HZD for awhile earlier and it mostly seemed ok, but that game doesn't have any trigger feedback on PS5 that I'm aware of. I also think a couple of my hard hits never registered. Going to go watch YT as @Deadlyblack suggested.

Edit - Haven't got to YT yet but reddit has a thread, which doesn't surprise me as there's a thread for everything there - but so many problems a month after launch. Really surprised I never heard of this before I felt it. Joycon drift was EVERYWEHRE.

@fingalf I got one for remote play it’s an inconveenience having to hook back up to the PS5 after each session. Also doubles the lifespan of one, I suppose…

Not a fan of the pastels. Do have a Midnight Black one though.

@mcdreamer I convinced myself I needed a new one so that I can charge one while I use the other till it's dead then swap it, and repeat lol

The ps5 usb-c cable is shocking. Cable end stopped functioning after about 2 weeks of use. The nylon ones I bought from Amazon for my phone have lasted longer.
