Ultra-satisfying PSVR rhythm game Beat Saber continues to expand and improve, and these new sliding block types have us practically salivating at the prospect of smashing them. As opposed to the traditional bricks you just need to cut through, these are curved pattern-like cubes that you need to rotate your wrist around. It makes a lot more sense in the 30-second video above.
Of course, these new bricks will be great for drumrolls or the kind of glitch sounds you get in a lot of contemporary dance music. We imagine these are going to be extremely gratifying to cut, and we can’t help but think how amazing they would feel with the haptic feedback in the PSVR2 Sense Controllers. The game’s yet to be confirmed for PSVR2, of course, but surely it’s a no-brainer.

If only we could use custom music like on pc
@Would_you_kindly That alone basically makes the PSVR version worthless. It takes away a massive massive amount of content.
Sadly Beat Games got bought up by Facebook to provide exclusives for Oculus, so unlikely we'll see anything beyond more DLC for this version. Not likely on PSVR2 unless a deal is struck.
@nessisonett yeah I know , I bought the imagination dragons pack but I just can't justify buying any more tracks on it when you can have so many more songs on it for free on the pc version
@Futureshark I was coming here to say this. Beat Saber followups and new versions on Playstation are unlikely due to the purchase
@Would_you_kindly Exactly what I was thinking. I would only get this for pc.
@nessisonett worthless? Seriously? Why does everything on the internet have to be the best or the worst? Clearly, the sales of Beat Saber on PSVR show that people who play it see it as anything but worthless.
I’ve not played this on PSVR because I know how frustrating the move controllers would be. I’ll wait for the inevitable PSVR2 version. Good to know the game is still expanding.
Edit: we’ll, seems not as inevitable after all 😕
@naruball It’s objectively the worst version of the game out there. That’s PSVR in a nutshell though, held back by its dated tech and closed ecosystem. Thank god for Trinus.
btw. it seems that Yesterday "the Wanderer" a seemingly great PSVR game was released. I have not played it yet, but seems to review really well, and seems to be at the pinnacle of visual fidelity achieved on psvr.
@nessisonett You still didn't explain the "worthless" part. Johnson and Johnson may be the least effective vaccine out of Moderna and Phizer, but it's hardly worthless.
If the game on PSVR was worthless, it wouldn't lead the PSVR charts for years now.
@Futureshark was there confirmation they will only be working on Oculus exclusives? There’s huge benefit in pushing VR titles wherever they will go. Growing the VR industry as a whole is bigger than any platform wars right now. Still a large chance it won’t take off for the masses.
I love this game and I've seen some incredible fitness results from some people...but again, putting the PSVR together is too cumbersome
@nessisonett
Difference between “worthless” and “not as good as PC”.
If a console game being not as good as PC made it worthless then the PC modding community alone would make any console game worthless.
Bit of unnecessary exaggeration there I think! Lol
The music selection is small and largely awful on PSVR.
@Would_you_kindly the custom music on pc and oculus is great ,however the maps that go with them not so much, its annoying when you play some of your favourite songs and the maps are garbage, all over everywhere and don't actually go with the chosen song.
@sajoey @Futureshark I dunno, I think they'll end up putting Beat Saber on PSVR2. I hope so anyway.
I'm not complaining, but isn't just that they carbon copied Synth Riders for this feature?
@get2sammyb I would guess so, the game is a license to print money at the moment, lots of beat saber fans (including myself) eagerly purchase every music pack they put out, regardless of who the artist is.
@vapidwolf1 I saw a video of a woman playing the Kyle's mom song from South park on it & it looked like it went with it
@Would_you_kindly some do ,some don't, it seems the ones I get never do 😂
@vapidwolf1 looked really cool & Id like to play custom tracks but not buying a gaming pc & a new expensive vr headset to play them not that I could afford it anyway
The game is great on PSVR
@Would_you_kindly you can have custom songs on the oculus, no gaming pc needed
