Sony spent about five weeks shooting Uncharted’s plane set-piece, which will appear in the upcoming movie after first appearing in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. According to star Tom Holland, who plays Nathan Drake in the film, it’s by far the most gruelling action sequence he’s ever filmed – which is impressive considering he also plays the acrobatic Spider-Man.
It’s quite interesting to see some behind-the-scenes footage of how this was actually shot. For example, the boxes are attached to giant claw-like machines, with massive fans blowing against them to create the effect of wind. It’s always fascinating when you’re able to “peel back the curtain” of wild stunts like this one.

Quite looking forward to watching this, you know.
I do hope that this will not suck
I wonder of Tom has revealed any spoilers in interviews. He's notorious for it 😁
I wish him well with the film, he's an extremely likable young man, a good actor and looks like the kind of bloke you'd want to be friends with.
I'll watch the film. I could do with a bit of easy entertainment and after the recent Spider-Man Tom's stock has gone up in my estimation. He's got real screen presence.
Won't bother watching but it's pretty self explanatory given the trailers and having played Uncharted 3 numerous times.
I’m glad they just always been talking about that one particular scene for months…it’s how you know the rest of the movie will suck.
@danzoEX yeah, doesn't exactly inspire confidence...
@dudewithcioc The stupid scene with the helicopters and the pirate ships is all the proof you need that the final product will suck.
Green screen, wow that was hard to explain
I still don't think it will rise to the level of the Tomb Raider film which it's self wasn't particularly interesting, maybe I'm wrong and it will be over 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.
@Juanalf no way will it be over 80% on RT, but it still could be a decent, enjoyable movie.
@riceNpea @Quintumply Same here really looking forward to the film, despite what so many others have been and still are saying.
