It feels like Geoff Keighley's only just finished wrapping up The Game Awards 2021, but the Master of Hype has already moved on to building anticipation for Summer Game Fest 2022. That's right, the online event will return later this year — in the summer, obviously! — presumably bringing us all kinds of game updates and announcements.
Summer Game Fest has proven to be quite a popular occasion over the last few years, with a number of big publishers pushing their upcoming titles during Geoff's show. The lack of a traditional E3 has left a sizeable gap in the gaming calendar, and Summer Game Fest does its best to try and fill that gap — at least to some extent.
Do you think Summer Game Fest will be a big deal this year? Get some predictions going in the comments section below.

It's only going to get bigger and I for one am glad we have something to look forward to in the summer!!
Geoff’s gonna have to step up his game. With E3 dead, there’s an opportunity here.
Why not.... E3 is dead anyways...
E3 is dead and I believe this will be the biggest Summer event yet... possibly bigger than 2021 game awards. Jeff has stolen the show!
In Geoff we trust
That logo needs work.
After last year's extremely long and tiresome The Game Award with an audience, I am actually glad it will be online only. Hopefully it will be a more compact and packed show.
Summer, summer, summer. Can’t wait for some of that sunshine.
@kyleforrester87 You and me both. 😐
Does enough to fill the E3-sized hole left in the summer but I still miss those big old events that felt like gamer christmas.
@vict0RGM @mrtennis1990 @hookedWORM17 @EnragedGibbon Fingers crossed this year's Summer Game Fest will be bigger as a result.
Last year's event was pretty disappointing compared to E3's.
@KidBoruto agreed
I'd say he needs to start selling Geoff bobbleheads, but that would be redundant, wouldn't it?
