Guerrilla Games has today shared a brief look behind the curtain of Horizon Forbidden West with a new story trailer, but it has also confirmed some Hollywood stars have joined the game's cast to lend a voice to a few of the new characters.
In an interview with Game Informer, it's confirmed brand new character Tilda — who you can catch a brief glimpse of at the end of the story trailer — is voiced by The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss. Another new face, who is actually going to be one of Aloy's main antagonists, is Regalla. She will be voiced by Angela Bassett, who plays Queen Ramonda in Black Panther.
Speaking to the site, senior writer Annie Kitain says Moss' character Tilda has a special connection to the past. "She's someone who we look forward to players unravelling the secret of what she's all about." Narrative director Benjamin McCaw then confirms Bassett's character Regalla will be one of Aloy's biggest enemies in Horizon Forbidden West. "Aloy's going to fight Regalla's forces throughout the game and she will fight Regalla, as well."

Angela basset can make anything work , so even if the script is champion’s league bog roll this should be good
Cool to see Carrie-Anne Moss voice a character in the game.
Angela Bassett as a villain?? Hell yes. She is a legend. She has such gravitas. This role should be great.

I want Lance Reddick to return as Sylens.
CARRIE-ANN MOSS IN HORIZON? HEEEELL YEAH!!!!
Feels like HFW is going to make Uncharted 2 level of impact.
@ApostateMage Isn't that confirmed?
Edit: I only now watched the trailer and he's in it.
Does Push Square have spoiler tags I can't remember how to if it does?
I have a theory about the person at the end but don't want to post without spoilers. It could be huge though. So excited to wait and see what happens here.
Edit:
Thank you @Voltan for the help
believe the woman at the end is from the Odyssey ship (colony) which was sent Pre Zero Dawn as another way of saving lives by colonising on a new world
https://horizon.fandom.com/wiki/Odyssey
The Odyssey was reportedly destroyed but I have a feeling this may have been a lie. There's something about the woman at the end that feels "not of this world" I could be wrong but that's my theory
I thought the woman at the end looked a little like Moss so this is very cool
@B-I-G-DEVIL Yeah, you just put it between (spoiler) and (/spoiler) but with [ ] instead of ( ) - hope I made it clear enough
Damn, that’s two genuinely great actresses. Perhaps the plot won’t be dire this time!
@RBMango Yeah, she was great in American Horror story (I think it was season 3 that I watched) as the woman with three boobs.
She was also amazing in the Tina Turner movie.
Carrie-Anne Moss was particularly brilliant as Jeri Hogarth in the Netflix Marvel series - never mind this Matrix thing I've never heard of...
Two excellent additions, even more hyped now.
Moss also voiced Aria in ME of course.
The story in the first one was great, hopefully this is the same in HFW.
I'm very pleased to see that this site knows the awesomeness that is the queen Angela Bassett. Carrie is phenomenal as well.
@BritneyfR_ee I remember her fondley. Yeah..I’ve three hands…..
Damn Angela Bassett is a smoking lady with a great voice. Can’t wait for the 18th.
@Voltan Oh nice one. I haven't watched the trailer but I'm glad that he's back for this sequel.
Well, I think we just figured out why budgets are soaring....
@nessisonett Still dire, just well acted direness. Like Matrix 2.....
@velio84 Original Klaasje is a big deal through her podcast but she was replaced in Final Cut. You’re right, they’re all brilliant despite not being Hollywood names.
I remember Dishonored 1 having a good cast with some very decent voice acting. Lena Headey, Michael Madsen, Susan Sarandon, Carrie Fisher, Chloë Grace Moretz.
@lolwhatno only 4 weeks to find out 😅
@ApostateMage He is in the trailer
@ApostateMage he's returning as sylens
@nessisonett why wouldn't it be dire
@velio84 yea agree. I'd like to think they wasn't in it for the money but for the story. as both have been in video game stuff before and said they did it for the story.
@Deadlyblack in case you didn't know they also do the motion capture performance on set with all the other actors as well and their facial expressions captured. not just the voice.
