Rainbow Six: Extraction is the sole new release in the UK's latest physical games chart, and people are mainly buying it on PlayStation 5. Ubisoft's tactical co-op shooter debuts at number four, and with 53 per cent of the share, the PS5 version is the most popular at retail.
The game is behind FIFA 22, which has been in second place for several weeks now. A little further down, Call of Duty: Vanguard is back up into fifth position, and Grand Theft Auto V has moved up two places into eighth. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales almost makes it back into the top 10, currently in 11th.
Here's the latest top 10 in full.

They spelt Fez wrong!!
Should all be used to every multi platform game selling best on playstation, its been that way since the end of the ps3 gen.
Nice to see zelda back in the top 10 as well
I expect Extraction will exit the charts after this week and never be heard from again. Typical Gamepass game - average and forgettable.
Isnt that going to be the case tho as its free on GP? You dont need to buy it 🤷♂️ or are we talking ps5 to ps4 ratio?
Looking forward to seeing some ps exclusives on the charts for a change. February can't come soon enough.
I’m moreso curious how well rainbow six performed on UGP and if that influenced sales to be down.
And the winner, for bringing up gamepass first, in a pushsquare comments section, goes to @Smash41
😂 Ps4/5 is only platform with full price req!
Oh dang BotW is back in the Top 10. I really need to play the DLC 😅
@PhhhCough i get silver tho 🥈
To be fair i was just genuinely interested how GP affect these sorts of sales boards.
Selling best on PS5 is surprising because, supposedly, nobody owns one.
@PhhhCough To be fair, Gamepass is relevant here because they obviously don't need to buy it there. I too would like to see just how many people are playing the game on Gamepass compared to going out and buying it.
Did anyone seriously purchase Extraction on Xbox though?
@PhhhCough if a game launches day 1 on UGP, and pushsquare writes an article about how that game sold on ps5 than UGP becomes relevant to both pushsquare and the article. Acting like it’s not is silly. People are more and more going multiplatform these days.
Sorry for my last comment, misread.
@ATaco @Kidfunkadelic83 and to be fair again, your replies were genuine inquiries, while the other just brought it for console war fodder, I guess.
@PhhhCough Why wouldn't I mention it? Its a AAA franchise newest title going onto a service that lets you play it for "free" (I know its not free but you know what I mean)
Its how I (and i'd guess a lot of others) played it. I wouldn't have paid £40 for it.
This is a misleading game to say it sells more, since it's free on Gamepass. But to be honest I would expect it to sell better on PS anyways...
But people say Playstation is dead 🤷♂️
frankly im surprised anyone bought it
people are stupid to look down on R6E selling well on PS, not everyone can have multiple consoles in their home so it's entirely possible for them to buy R6E, to be honest I find this normal because R6E isn't too bad to play with friends. Everyone should remember that it's not just you who don't think it's worth it, everyone else thinks the same!
@Salt_AU It's actually not a bad game...much better than back 4 blood...in my opinion
@StylesT a low bar 😁
Damn, Switch has conquered the world at this point.
It'd be nice if MK8D sales slow down at some point so Nintendo has some incentive to develop a new one. Going on eight years now without a new Mario Kart game. Ugh.
@AFCC
Not “free” on GP, it is included in the subscription that is £10.99 a month, yes I know you can get it cheaper, but just sayin’ 🤠
@Salt_AU I have 10 hours in it so far. I'll probably play enough so I can try all the levels and then uninstall.
“people are mainly buying it on PlayStation 5“ I feel for those poor people who have bought that absolute mediocre game. I’m so glad I got to try it on Game Pass before spending a penny on it. I don’t understand why there went in the direction they did with Extraction as it’s nothing like Siege and Siege is so much better imo.
Only Nintendo can manage to sell 6 year old games at full price and still get into the top 10. It's surreal.
And, yeah, a headline telling us: "News: Individual unit sales for game better on platform not bundling it with subscription service" shouldn't really bring many surprises....
Arceus' turn to be #1 next week
@StylesT I've just downloaded world war Z on my pc because I got it free with Amazon prime & I think that's miles better than back 4 blood
@lolwhatno 😆
Life is too short to dwell, just moving on. Still waiting on returnal. Excited to play, die, repeat.
I like it. But if you play with a couple of friends making it 3 people it's too easy. In coop it's pretty good but you play for the xp rather than the story. I dislike PvP as Im too slow, so this PvE in a similar arena works for me.
Why does it matter where it sold most? It's not a game I'm into.
@Spoonman-2 lol thanks for the lecture
Not surprising. Playstation was literally the only platform that required you to drop hard cash on it. PC gamers was able to get it through either PC gamepass or Ubisoft + and Xbox gamers through gamepass. Even Stadia users was able to just get through Ubisoft +.
