Update: Okay, so that PlayStation Productions ident looks much better in direct feed. So thankfully, Sony has published it on Twitter for us all to witness in its full 20-second glory. Take a look below and let us know what you think!
Original Story: We reviewed the Uncharted movie late last week and had a fun time watching it, but we reckon one moment that will raise the pulses of PlayStation fans is the opening ident from the new PlayStation Productions division. This is slotted in among the usual Sony and Columbia Pictures logos, but it’s a super cinematic sequence similar to the one used in PlayStation Studios games.
As you’ll notice from the off-screen recording embedded above, it starts with Aloy’s Focus, before seguing to Kratos’ axe and Nathan Drake’s grappling hook. It then lingers on Jin Sakai for a few moments, before switching to Joel and Ellie from The Last of Us and Astro Bot. Ratchet & Clank and Sackboy are also briefly spotted, before all the heroes are zoomed past and the logo appears.
It’s a really great little animation, and it looks and sounds amazing on the big screen, as you’d expect. Obviously this is just a few seconds at the start of the Uncharted movie, but it’s really cool seeing all of these characters together, and definitely a cool moment if you’ve been following their journeys for years now.

Really interesting that they included Astro Bot among huge icons like Kratos, Ratchet, and Drake.
Looks awesome, surely a massive crossover game is on the cards with the way their pushing these characters?
That's really good, I like that. I love the way PlayStation game's start up too, all the PlayStation icon's.
Interesting. I like the action shot of Drake.
I wonder if this means they're planning movies with most of those characters or they're just bridging the gap between the movie and game studios for casuals that may not know what adventures are available.
Very very cool.
I'm looking forward to seeing where the PlayStation Productions brand goes.
If they Make a Demon's Souls movie (live action, anime, whatever), I lose my mind.
@RBMango Even more interesting that Astro was the centre and where they were zooming towards at the end. I think we will be see plenty more of him, he's become the de-facto mascot of PlayStation. I'm all for that!
@themightyant Well he is the ideal promoter of new tech from the PlayStation division, I expect a great VR platformer starring Astro Bot to release with PSVR 2
too similar to that star wars one on Disney+
@themightyant I'm all for it too. I love the little guy.
That looks great! I thought it to be fairly original as some say the PlayStation Studios logo in games that shows multiple characters is too similar to Marvel's.
I have no idea what Star Wars splash screen @Victor_Meldrew is referring to above.
Edit: This is the PlayStation Studios splash screen I am referring to. It looks amazing.

@RBMango The interesting thing is that Astro Bot is the last character you see as well.
In the cinema where we watched it (this is potato cam footage) he is pretty much in the centre & it lingers over the shot for a while.
Astro is clearly Sony’s mascot just based of the colour scheme for PSVR & PS5. I wonder if they’ll expand the IP beyond VR- make it playable for both platforms.
Interesting to see Sackboy considering his last game was 2014's LBP3.
@xDD90x what about sackboys big adventure, that only came out last year I think.
@Gizmo4383 That's right! Can't believe I forgot about that. Now his inclusion makes sense.
@AdamNovice We can only dream and hope...I'd gladly buy a legit crossover game day one.
Not a big fan. Looks a bit stilted and I’m not quite convinced that characters such as Nathan Drake and Kratos are instantly recognisable on sight alone to a film-going audience, never mind Astro-Bot, Aloy or Jin. Would have preferred a take on the PS1 boot-up or something a bit less literal done with the face button logos.
I prefer the quicker playstation studios one seen on the games.
Looks sweet, I like it
Now make a new InFamous and bring back Killzone/Resistance so they're there. Twisted Metal is coming so...
@TheCollector316 I think @Victor_Meldrew is referring to this intro:

The more I see stuff like this the more I want a PlayStation All-Stars 2, PlayStation really does need a fighting game franchise to call their own, it could even be a collaborative effort between Bluepoint, Insomniac, Santa Monica Studios, Team Asobi & XDev.
PlayStation All-Stars 2 Story Mode where Sackboy & Astro meet, but instead of becoming rivals, quickly become the best of friends.
Sackboy & Astro hug to affirm lifelong friendship (Heart melts)
Well these are all very new faces for PlayStation aren’t they? Only Kratos, Drake and Sackboy have been around the longest. Just seems a little weird to me. Looks good though very similar to Marvel/Disney stuff right now.
@Filth_Element Ratchet And Clank Have Been Around Longer Then All Of Them.
@Areus yeah your right sorry I just have ignored them all that time too! 😜
@JustPlainLoco a ps all-stars game with the Knight from demon's souls (or Solaire!) as a playable character would be a dream come true. Even more so with a fully fleshed story mode and, dare I say, coop support? If only...
@J2theEzzo - I think they would only use characters from Demon's Souls & Bloodborne because they own those IP's, but I agree with the Chosen Undead from Demon's Souls, but I would also have The Hunter from Bloodborne, maybe Eileen the Crow, and the final boss; Gherman perhaps as an unlockable character, his introduction as the final boss in Bloodborne was already perfect "Tonight... Gherman joins the Hunt", basically a 'Joins the Fight' intro card.
If they could get Dante from Devil May Cry, I could imagine a rivalry forming between him and the Hunter from Bloodborne, because Dante could mistake the Hunter for being a Demon because he consumes Blood Vials.
