Paradise Killer, the well-praised detective title that released for Nintendo Switch and PC in September 2020, appears to be prepping a launch on PlayStation 5. A Trophy list has gone live for the title overnight on Exophase, indicating the PS5 port is indeed real. Since the game originally launched on Nintendo's hybrid device, we wouldn't be surprised to see a PS4 version either. We've embedded a trailer above so you can get a better look at the game.
Set on an island named Paradise, a murder has been committed and it's your job to put together a case and work out who the killer is. "Take your case to trial and argue your interpretation of the evidence. Only when someone is successfully convicted can the crime be considered solved and Paradise be saved."
Our friends over at Nintendo Life were big fans of the detective title back in 2020, handing it an 8/10 in the Paradise Killer Nintendo Switch review. "There’s a refreshing freedom to Paradise Killer we’ve not previously seen. You can start the trial almost immediately if you desired, which is far from sensible, but without a narrative constraining you, Lady Love Dies’ investigation is what you make it. Coming to your own conclusions can be a little overwhelming in places but successfully solving this case is immensely satisfying. For murder-mystery fans, this comes highly recommended."

This was my favourite game of 2020 by a country mile. Not only does it offer an inventive take on the detective genre by allowing you to end the game at any point based on your own personal findings, it also looks amazing and features one of the best video game soundtracks of all time.
Don't sleep on this one, my friends. This is the good stuff.
Looks good to me. Will check it out!
Echoing what @residentmeevil said, don't sleep on this one!
Got the soundtrack on vinyl, too.Good stuff.
There's an Ace Attorney following with some people on the forums, so they will probably be thrilled.
I might give this a shot at some point even though I've never really played games in the genre much. My only concern is how open ended it is, you can get lost. It's always good to see something different get released in the sea of regular open world games though.
By all means play this game, it's absolutely amazing!
The only "real" detective game I've ever played, where you have to come up with theories on your own and the game actually accepts them.
Not to mention the lore is super interesting, even if it can be a bit daunting at first to understand how Paradise works.
That’s good news! I’m glad I managed to find some impulse control and held off on buying the Switch version. Now, if I can just find the patience to wait for that Valis collection to make its way to my platform of choice…
I am going to play this game and not a single one of you can stop me
I played this on Switch after IGN gave it a rare 10/10 review and it was really, really good. Wonderful story and lore, so I may double dip on this. Hopefully it has some upgrades from the Switch version.
