Fancy taking an early look at MLB The Show 22? As is the case every year, Sony San Diego Studio is running a technical test right now across all platforms – including the Nintendo Switch – meaning you can try out this year’s game early. It’s worth noting that this is an unfinished build, so don’t expect all of the bells-and-whistles – although the new online co-op mode is included. It’s also only available in the United States.
Still, if you want to download on the PlayStation 5, then you can do so through here; the PS4 download is through here. Will you be taking a look at this latest instalment? You can provide feedback on the game’s official forums, so make sure you do if you encounter any bugs or issues. The full release is due out on 5th April.

Too many games to look at for an annual sports release. Also considering it is on Gamepass agin this year, why pay for a roster update. Gonna be a skip from me.
Might give it a download later but I’m preoccupied with Horizon right now
Saying it's available to purchase this year on Nintendo Switch will be a nice balance for all the "also included with Gamepass" mentions. 😉
Busy time otherwise I would jump in. I still might and play a quick game, but that would be about it.
A little too busy at the moment with other stuff obviously but still looking forward to seeing how it does this year particularly on Switch.
Gamepass baby
Sports games are not really my thing, but the promo art style for this game is great, particularly the special edition covered here a while back. Excuse the pun.
Also, whenever a deluge of gamepass acolytes make their way into a comment thread, I always read their posts as “this game is worthless, it’s on gamepass.” Not from a quality standpoint, of course, more from a “I’m not spending any money on this” perspective. I’ve read ad nauseam that gamepass, against all logic, actually increases game sales, but I guess the people buying all those games must not be big posters.
I love The Show. But the 19 and 20 versions on the standard PS4 were sub par, and clearly worse visually than other PS4 editions had been. There's a notable drop from 18 to 19 in lighting and shadows. I've played the series since the early days of the PS3, but I'm going to wait until I have a PS5 before I buy it again.
I dont like these games anyway so have fun with it on Gamepass.
