Sam & Max are back – and this time, in virtual reality form. The anticipated Sam & Max: This Time It’s Virtual will make its PSVR bow next week, on 23rd February, with a 10 per cent discount available at launch for PS Plus members. “Join the irrepressible dog with a hat and hyperkinetic rabbity-thing in the duo’s first foray into virtual reality,” the press release reads.
The blurb continues: “Become part of the dynamic duo's off-kilter world for a furious day of monster-slaying, obstacle courses, responsibly discharged firearms, and, of course, saving the entire freaking world. Sam & Max: This Time It’s Virtual mixes quips, crime-fighting, puzzles, and escape rooms with challenges of skill and classic point-and-click adventure.”
The game first launched on competing VR platforms late last year, where it was relatively well-received. Obviously, all eyes are on PSVR2 at this moment in time, but support for Sony’s existing headset hasn’t dried up at all – in fact, this month has charted the release of some pretty big virtual reality titles, including Wanderer.

I adore Sam & Max. I hope this gets a PSVR2 release as I can't justify buying a PSVR now when it's so close to the end of its lifespan.
Really wish PSVR didn’t make me ill, I adore Sam & Max. Plus I genuinely cannot be arsed connecting it to my PS5 and sending off for the adapter thingy.
Id snap it up day one had it been a retail release.
But I refused to pay more than £6-7 for digital titles XD.......so it will be a wait till Ill pick this up (That said The room VR was cheap enough this week for a purchase XD)
(I am a bit of a hypocrite though cause I brought Zenith on the Quest 2 last week for £15ish........supposedly excellent game that I happen to have a 30% code sent to me........couldnt resist)
@nessisonett I gave up on the adaptor after chasing it for 10 months moving heavy TV set up to get serial numbers and the like.
In the end they said I had to ring them ......after multiple on hold calls for 1+ hrs, I gave up (was in lock down time)
@ScarletSpidey Either that or PSVR2 being backwards compatible with PSVR1 games would be nice.
@Burntbreadman
Regarding the PSVR PS5 Adaptor, it seems some scumbags (probably the same enterprising types who use bots to buy all the PS5s and sell them on eBay at twice the price) were applying for the adaptor using other people's serial numbers.
I applied and was told my number had already been used, I eventually got one, but only from spending loads of time on hold and multiple emails, cause I'm THAT damn stubborn.
I've been loving this game already
