First mentioned a few years ago, Bandai Namco has confirmed that a new Digimon Story game is still in development. It should be something to keep an eye on, since previous Digimon Story titles — namely Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth — have been really good creature-taming RPGs.
This new game hasn't been officially revealed yet, but producer Kazumasa Habu — speaking at Digimon Con 2022 over the weekend — dropped some key details. First off, the title will take place in the Digital World — that's the strange dimension where digimon live — which suggests that there might not be a real-world element, as is the case in the aforementioned Cyber Sleuth.
What's more, Habu says that the game will feature the '12 Olympians' — 12 super powerful digimon that are based on Greek gods. Some of them have appeared in previous Digimon Story titles, but they've never been a primary focus. Should be an interesting point for all you hardcore digi-heads.

Digimon was my Pokemon so i am glad there is another game in development
WEREGARRUMON!
Enjoyed the Digimon World games (except the first on PS1) along with games like Redigitize and Cyber Sleuth so I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this.
I'm really glad to hear it. Cyber Sleuth is a game I just can't stop coming back to, and I'm really starting to regret not getting Hacker's Memory on Vita when I had the chance. I thought about buying it on PS3, but at this point I'll probably just wait for this new one.
Release Digimon Survive before you start going on about other Games 🤦🏽♂️
Glad it will have a focus in the Digimon world, for whatever reason I've failed multiple times to connect with Cyber Sleuth. The characters and setting just weren't my jam, maybe it gets better after the first 8 hours.
@Dubbicakes Personally, I think the characters and dialogue hold Cyber Sleuth back a bit — some scenes just drone on and on when all you really want to do is collect digimon and level them up. When the game lets you grind at your own pace and discover all kinds of new digimon, it's really good.
@ShogunRok That's probably it, from what I've played multiple times it was very location to location linear fetch quests and battle. Wish they'd structure the games more like the early Digimon Story games, even though they were kinda Pokemony.
I really enjoyed the Cyber Sleuth games. I was expecting another Pokémon clone kind of game but somehow, it didn't felt that way. To me, they felt something closer to that of a Megami Tensei game, likely because of the artstyle and gameplay but yeah, they're much closer to the SMT series than Pokémon. Anyway, I'm looking forward for more Digimon Story games than Survive.
@Netret0120 Agreed 100%! I was bored of watching Pokemon one day and switched to Fox Kids just as the first Digimon series dub was airing for the first time ever.
I was hooked and kept following the show to the very end...same for Adventure 02, Tamers, Frontier, Data Squad, and even Xros Wars.
@KidBoruto
Dedicated fan ! What was your favourite digimon?
@Netret0120 Adventure 01 for nostalgia sake, but overall I preferred Tamers. How about yourself?

@Netret0120 You can watch the Adventure 01 Dub on Hulu! As for the sub, sadly CrunchyRoll removed it awhile ago.
