Supermassive Games has a lot on its plate at the moment, most notably the Season One finale of its The Dark Pictures Anthology titled The Devil In Me as well as an all-new IP launching in June: The Quarry. Both games seem to be coming along nicely, though, as the developer announces the former's protagonist will be played by Jessie Buckley of The Lost Daughter fame. During last night's Oscars ceremony, Buckley was up for the award of Best Supporting Actress.
Signing Buckley up to the title continues Supermassive Games' efforts to cast known actors and actresses in its lead roles, with this latest pick-up playing the role of Kate Wilder. Previously, Will Poulter was cast in Little Hope while Ashley Tisdale was part of House of Ashes.
A release date hasn't been confirmed for The Devil In Me just yet, but it is expected to launch on PlayStation 5 and PS4 at some point later this year. Almost certainly after The Quarry in June, at least. Does Hollywood casting like this make you more interested in playing a game or not? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Weird but she is a great actress. I remember watching her on some Andrew Lloyd Webber reality show before she was famous!
Did she get slapped by Will Smith as well. You only make it now at the Oscar's if Will Smith slaps you.
Patiently waiting for House of Ashes to drop far enough like Little Hope,& Man of Medan have done in sales,(hope it's alright),before doing the same here...just crossing my fingers The Quarry goes full Until Dawn...just a pity that one,(as a 2K published title),offers only one expensive way to own it as a ps4/5 copy.
Wonder how on earth they're going to tie things together here as an Anthology?
I have no idea who this person is.
@Athrum Okay, thanks for letting us know.
Supermassive games. Until dawn.
Oh that reminds me of a great line :
‘Understand the palm of my hand B’. 😅
I've really enjoyed most of these, but never finished House of Ashes. I thought it was a bit of a slog, and disliked all of the characters. I'll definitely give this a go though.
I still haven't finished Little Hope or even started House of Ash, I don't even know what the synopsis is for Devil in Me, but I'm definitely excited for The Quarry, it looks like it could be a return to their Until Dawn roots, and I couldn't be happier.
@Athrum apparently she's in Fargo and Chernobyl. Haven't seen either of those yet though.
Very excited for this one. House of Ashes was amazing and the teaser for this has me intrigued.
@Milktastrophe Thanks dude. People really speak well of Chernobyl, need to check that one out.
Supermassive have this weird issue of casting a name to put on the box then in game they hardly matter.
Hayden Panettiere spent Until Dawn running a bath, Shaun Ashmore could actually leave the game entirely, Will Pouter felt like a background character rather than a main one and Ashley Tisdale was no Salim. Lets see if this bucks the trend
@Robocod My guess is the Curator will slowly begin to star more prominently in the stories.
I have not seen any movie she was in lets see how good she is.
@Fyz306903 Maybe that's him with the axe!
That's cool news, but still waiting for a release date...
Loved until dawn and little hope, this one looks good to. It’s all about the setting for me with these games. Man if Medan int appeal to me but this next one does.
