If you play Borderlands 3 on PlayStation 5 or PS4, you're actually missing out on a feature all the other versions have — crossplay. Upon its launch in 2019, playing the looter shooter on PS4 (and later PS5) wouldn't match you up with players on other platforms. With the feature becoming increasingly common in notable multiplayer games, it was a little disappointing to see this limitation. Fortunately, it seems Gearbox has been working to implement crossplay on Sony's consoles.
With the below tweet, the team has confirmed PS5 and PS4 will be showing up fashionably late, with crossplay support finally being introduced.
When this rolls out, PS5 and PS4 players will be able to match up with those playing on Xbox consoles, Stadia, and PC via Steam and Epic. There isn't a firm date as yet, we just know crossplay is coming in the Spring, so it can't be very far off.
Will you be checking out crossplay in Borderlands 3 when it comes to PlayStation? Do you use crossplay much in multiplayer titles? Play nice together in the comments section below.

Well this is good
Great news. But I'll never play that again. Let's improve tiny tina servers
This is great! Will buy it again on the Series S next time it goes on sale!
cross play is always good,
However, please let this aged series die and try something new.
@Royalblues stats?
So, does that mean we can expect crossplay for tiny Tina's in 2025ish?
@lolwhatno "brb" is pretty bad. According to captain holt, "brb" has the same amount of syllables as "be right back", so it defeats the purpose.
@PhhhCough Do you mean Wonderlands or Dragon's Keep?
Because Wonderlands already has it, it's actually a reason why BL3 is getting it now.
And I doubt Dragon's Keep will get it. The game doesn't even have 4 player split screen, when the Handsome Collection does. I don't think they care much about that stand alone release.
Better late then never I guess , but I think most people moved on by now. It just didn’t feel like this game had the same staying power the 2nd game did.
@lolwhatno
"IMO" is also pretty bad. Eh.
