Assets for Shadowrun Trilogy have been discovered on PlayStation Network servers, as leaked through Reddit. The collection, which includes Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun Dragonfall - Director's Cut, and Shadowrun Hong Kong - Extended Edition, was officially announced for Nintendo Switch last year (due to arrive in 2022), but it's looking like a PlayStation release is also planned.
What's more, the Trilogy received Taiwanese ratings on both PS5 and PS4 just a couple of weeks back (as spotted by Gematsu). It's almost certainly happening, then — we just don't know when.
For those who might be totally out of the loop, Shadowrun is a series of classic CRPGs, based on the tabletop franchise of the same name. The property's identity is rooted in its unorthodox cyberpunk setting, which combines visions of a gritty tech-heavy future with magical elements and fantastical creatures.
Certainly one to keep an eye on if you're into in-depth role-playing titles.

I need that SNES Shadowrun game
Oh lovely! I used to play these on GoG.
They had a lovely campaign editor too where you could make your own campaigns pretty easily. It was very cool.
Better late than never I suppose. Shadowrun Returns is what, almost 10 years old now? I've been wondering why it hasn't been ported to console earlier.
Looking forward to this. Had it on the old cellphonetelephone, but got a new one. Then they or google removed it from the play store.
Unbelievable games, so excited by this announcement.
These are great games. Anyone who hasn't played them before (or those like me who played them so long ago it's almost like playing them for the first time) is in for a treat.
This is absolutely amazing. I'm getting goosebumps reading this.
Nice, I got them for free on EGS and I've played the first two so far.
If you like turn-based squad SRPG's you're in for a treat.
Looking forward to this
I have this on pc (free on epic games store), seems pretty good. Already installed it but haven't play it yet, maybe I'll try the game this night 😃
Had 1st one on android, changed cell phone, and didnt transfer it. Then it was gone from store.
So good news. 2nd and 3rd games supposed better too.
Great games, highly recommend. May pick them up if trophies are easy for a second play through
@Aslanmagic That's immediately what I thought of as well, happy to have these but would defo love to play that one again!!
@EnragedGibbon loved it back in the day. Heard some good things about these ones so excited to try.
@Milktastrophe Microsoft own the rights and had the licensed rights for the production of PC games, they probably authorized the port, we just don't know what changed, maybe Are you terminating the license and authorization of the port to maximize profits? Like they did with MSFS before revealing the new version, which this time would be First-party)
Maybe they expanded the license.
