One-time Nintendo Switch exclusive No More Heroes 3 will (Travis) Touchdown on PlayStation 5 and PS4 later this year. The game – originally released for Nintendo’s hybrid hardware last year – will boast improved HD visuals (expect 4K on PS5), as well as faster framerates and loading times. It promises to be the definitive version of the threequel.
“Being the ‘number-one assassin in the world’ isn’t what it used to be,” the press release teases. “Otaku hero Travis Touchdown is back once more, forced out of retirement to defend Santa Destroy, and Earth, in an intergalactic test of might while proving he’s more than just a washed up has-been who talks to his cat. Warm up those beam katanas, tighten the all-new Death Glove, and get ready to partake in outrageous boss battles against the evil Prince FU and his nine alien henchmen.”
Pre-orders for a physical version will open soon, and will include a 70-page softcover art book, a soundtrack CD, and a commemorative biker license plate – all for $59.99. Digital availability – and incentives – will be announced in due time. Will you be powering up your laser katana in anticipation for this title’s arrival on PlayStation platforms?

Yay! I didn't play this yet, but I love the No More Heroes series.
Pretty sweet physical edition. Double dipping.
Heck yes, already played it on Switch but man, it'll be so nice to actually see the game in action.
While I'm happy it's coming I wish we would have gotten part 2 first, regardless great news!
That's pretty neato. Dare I say, it's neato burrito.
Definitely double dipping. I LOVED this last year.
Loved 1 and 2 but I was pretty disappointed with 3. I was hoping it would change some things up like making money. Instead of improving it they made side jobs in the game even more boring than before. All of this being said once you get around to fighting a boss it's really good, it's just getting to that point is just ugh so be prepared for that.
hell ya! been looking forward to this release (not that i will play it anytime soon haha). but it will be nice to get some stable framerates and preformance over the atrocious switch release. wouldn't it be a good time to release nmh 1+2 remasters on ps4 as well?
No interest in this, but surely the first two games are getting ported as well?
Thats cool and all but haven't played the first two lol need a trilogy release so i can play them all
Has the second game ever been released on a Playstation platform? I know the first game has, as I own it on Playstation III but cannot seem to remember if the second ever made it to a Playstation.
Hell yeah. Fantastic game.
If there's no new content, count me out. I've never been more let down by a video game than I was by this one. It's nigh unbelievable how much better the first two main entries are compared to this.
Had no intention, buying this on Switch. Heard bad stuff about this game.
What confuses me more is the Xbox release.
@Nintendo4Sonic The original game was ported (terribly) to both PS3 and Xbox 360. The 2nd has been a Nintendo exclusive on Wii and Switch. It makes just as much sense for this 3rd game to be on Xbox as it does on PlayStation.
Definitely buying now but won't play until its almost a guarantee the 1st 2 won't be ported
I'd prefer to have the 1st and 2nd ones on the ps4/ps5 first, I never got around to playing those, so it would be nice to have the complete series.
@__jamiie I know that the first game was remastered on PS3, but XBox 360? I think that's wrong.
Feel kinda bad for switch owners who played the clunk inferior version
@Nintendo4Sonic fun fact, the xbox 360 version of NMH sold more copies than the Wii version in Japan, which was a first in history 😂
Now do MH rise
@Nintendo4Sonic It isn't wrong. I own a copy. A quick Google search will show you that it was on 360.
It is such a shame schools are shut in the UK for two weeks holiday.
We have the Easter bank holiday with 3 good shopping days.
And not a single Series X or PS5 for anyone to walk into a shop a buy.
It really is not nice times for these new consoles, the companies and gaming. It really is a different landscape to other generation console releases.
And think we are also about 1 year and 6 months in and no better off. Actually it seems to be worse since about February 2022.
@edwinjoe450 True. Played it on switch and besides the muddy graphics and dull open world I loved the gameplay to death
Amazing. Glad I waited.
This is one of those series that Nintendo fans go on about, but I've never been tempted to pull the trigger.
Maybe now that it's everywhere it'll mean discounts, free play, whatever and I'll give it a try.
@Porco The switch version was adequately fine. Definitely not "atrocious".
@Nintendo4Sonic Just Google "No more heroes Xbox 360".
@Agramonte I don't think you miss something. 3 is supposed to be the worst entry.
@__jamiie ok, you're right sir
@EVIL-C yeah bro, 2 people told me already.
@buckp25 You'd need to play the other three technically (including Travis Strikes Again). That being said, the story is whacky anyways, so playing the others will mainly make some references and cameos more appreciated.
i see, so every Switch exclusive will release on PS4/PS5, Monster Hunter Rise and Bayonetta 3 next on PS4/PS5?
@Giancarlothomaz 😂😂😂 I'm still not convinced that Bayonetta 3 even exists.
@Nintendo4Sonic No worries. I would still love to see the entire trilogy released on current gen systems.
@__jamiie I still have No More Heroes 2 on Wii, but I never finished it.
@Nintendo4Sonic Me neither! I remember getting stuck on a particular boss and never went back to it. I have the trilogy on Switch now but have barely played them.
@__jamiie I also thought about getting them for Switch. But I don't know, these games were good, but not that good.
@__jamiie have you watched the Bayonetta 3 debut trailer on the septembre Nintendo Direct of 2021?
@Giancarlothomaz Yes. What's your point?
@Giancarlothomaz They were joking when they said they were still not convinced that Bayonetta 3 existed.
Happy that this is finally coming to PS5 and PS4, wasn't sure if it'd stay Switch exclusive.
Makes sense that this was only a timed exclusive.
