If you're a fan of Japanese RPGs and you haven't yet discovered the magic of Falcom's The Legend of Heroes franchise, then a bundle like this offers up hundreds of hours of entertainment. Only just announced, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I ~ IV & Trails into Reverie Complete Box is exactly what it says on the, er, box. It's a collection that includes Trails of Cold Steel 1, 2, 3, 4, plus Trails into Reverie, all on PlayStation 4. Now that's a boxset.
Unfortunately, this thing's Japan-only for the time being, set to release on the 28th July. It'll be available both at retail and digitally, the former priced at 15,000 yen, which equates to about £90 or $115.
Again, these are four huge RPGs, all of them contributing to a massively in-depth, overarching storyline that features a colossal character roster. All four of the Cold Steel games have been released here in the West, but we're still waiting on Trails into Reverie, which is aiming for a 2023 launch.
If this collection came overseas, would you be tempted to pick it up? Gather an army of anime characters in the comments section below.

All I can say is for anyone new say goodbye to your year if you pick this up for the first time! I doubt it will make it overseas though thanks to the first two games being published by XSEED while the later entries are published by NISA. Still pretty cool though!
@Korgon Imagine in the year 2030 or so, Falcom bundles every The Legend of Heroes game into one collection. It's kind of mind-blowing how many of these games Falcom is able to produce. I really hope that one day, it gets a dedicated publishing arm to bring everything West in a timely manner.
@ShogunRok That Would be a Big Box Especially If They Add The Games That Came Before The Trails Saga.
Never played them but always heard good things. If this bundle comes west I might be tempted to buy it
@Areus A sticker on the box that says "5000 hours of content!"
Please, PLEASE don't bring this to the west. Because I'll have to throw all my money at it if it does!
Already have the 1st game and preordered trails from zero. If this could come to the us, then I'd just need trails to azure and the 2 kuro no kiseki games and maybe legend of natural and hopefully some ports of the sky trilogy. God damn 😂
God, and I’ve still not even finished Ao no Kiseki!
@Korgon Good to hear this has so much content. I'm fairly new to the jrpg genre haven't played much else than both nier, tales of arise, scarlet nexus and ff xv. Currently bruising through ys 8 and since these games looked interesting I got all cold steel games in sales. Looks like I'm for a blast then
Definitely would like to see this come over. The games aren't exactly cheap to pick up at the moment so an all-in-one compilation at $120 would be a huge deal.
@Royalblues absolutely loving it. I'm not done with it yet though, I think I'm somewhere on chapter 3 and I think there are like 6 chapters. So about half way. It starts out a bit slowish but after the first chapter the story picks up its pace. The action is brilliant still not very good at the dodging and guarding though so only playing on normal. The music is absolutely great, but that generally seems to be the case in the action type oriented jrpgs.
I am glad I already have the 4 games, or else the wait would be way too long for this set. For those who like RPG's and have not tried this series yet, you should. The localization staff did an excellent job on it as well. Coming from somebody who has played many, these games are among the tops on my favorite list.
@Lavalera
Hope you enjoy them! They are all really great games for sure. My personal favorite would probably be Cold Steel 2.
Who needs F2P GaaS games to consume your decade when you can have all of ToCS for one low price?!
@Royalblues I don't have acces to older consoles though, I only have a ps5 and Xbox series console. So maybe i will look if I can play some on steam, but rather want to play my games on console now. But certainly will consider them!
@bigcalsworld Agreed. It's a very tempting box set, but for my wallet's sake I pray it never reaches the USA.
Omg... i would love this
