We’re nearing a new era for PS Plus but some things never change. Case in point: as of the time of publication, you have little over 24 hours until April 2022’s selection of PS Plus games are removed forever, therefore you know what you need to do. Remember, you don’t have to actually download the games to your console: just hit the Add to Library button and they’ll be yours for as long as you remain a member.
To be honest, April 2022’s titles didn’t go down great. In our poll at the time, an incredible 53 per cent of you said that the lineup – featuring Hood: Outlaws & Legends, SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, and Slay the Spire – was crap. Honestly, having played all three of the titles we don’t necessarily agree with that assessment, but it just shows how hard Sony needs to work to ensure subscriber satisfaction these days.
The good news is that May 2022’s lineup – scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, 3rd May – has been a little better received: just 36 per cent of you think it’s crap this time, with around 50 per cent of you somewhat satiated by the selection. As a reminder, the incoming titles include FIFA 22, Tribes of Midgard, and Curse of the Dead Gods. You should also note that Persona 5 Royal will be removed from the PS Plus Collection on 11th May, so just keep that in mind.
The coming months will bring big shakeups to the PS Plus formula, with the arrival of new tiers and tons of titles to play. We still only know a few of the releases set to be included, but you can bookmark our All PS Plus Games page for all the latest information on new arrivals and impending expiry dates.

Can't believe 53% of you thought last month's lineup was crap.
Sponge Bob is the first PS+ game I won't even bother to add to my download list
I really wish there was a 30$ option for ps plus without the "free games" cause I haven't cared to download these games for a long time.
@Priyesh The spongebob remake is good but the rest is crap and especially Hood that's a dying game with literally less than 100 players on steamcharts
Cool word up son
Wait a minute, since when is Persona 5 Royal in the PS+ collection? Isn't it the vanilla version?
@Nepp67 not true at all. Slay the Spire is awesome. It got great reviews and people who've played it have greatly enjoyed it.
Sponge Bob was decent fun. The last section got old fast and I quit but I don't regret the rest, it was pretty charming with decent platforming. The rest was crab tough.
I thought April's was better, I'm happy I got Spongebob before it left. Couldn't care less about May's games
Then its only me who hates Sponge Bob lol
I started playing SpongeBob, but what a soulless game.
How any gamer worth their salt can call Slay The Spire crap, truly astonishes me
Persona 5 Royal was never in the PS PLUS collection, it was only the standard Persona 5.
I only know this, because I paid the extra even though I had it for ‘free’ in the collection.
When it leaves? Will people lose access to it, or will it be the same as a standard PS PLUS line up? You keep as long as you redeemed and stay an active member
@DualWielding I won't put any of these in my library. I absolutely know that I will never be so low on games that I will want to play any of these.
@Priyesh I'd say that it was an objectively ok month, but I have no interest in even putting any of these games into my library.
@Nepp67 The steam numbers don't really concern me. Perhaps they are a reflection of the PlayStation numbers, but there will have been a big boost from PS+ players. I'd love to play an open-world narrative-based Robin Hood game, but as soon as it is multiplayer only, I'm out.
I didn't bother adding any to my Collection last month and won't bother adding any of next month's games to my collection either. I won't ever be so desperate for something to play that ANY of these would appeal to me. I'd rather spend my time finishing off some of the games in my ever growing backlog than 'start' playing any of these...
Each to their own of course and if you 'enjoy' them - Great for you, but I have some games I bought that I still haven't had time to Start, let alone play games I would never of bought regardless just because they are 'free' as part of a Subscription.
Slay the Spire is an absolutely fantastic game, I was so excited when I saw it on the list.
Thanks for the reminder! I already grabbed SpongeBob last month and have no interest in the other two games.
@Priyesh Agreed. Should have easily been 90% or above.
