Console bundles are nothing new, as packaging a high-profile game alongside a brand new console is a no-brainer. It's perhaps due to a lack of PS5 stock that Sony's latest hasn't had an official bundle so far in its lifecycle.
Until now, that is.
As first relayed by the inimitable Wario64 via Twitter, and previously spotted in the UK, it seems that a Horizon Forbidden West PS5 bundle will soon be made available for potential customers via PlayStation Direct.
Registrations are now open, so if you are in the market for both a PS5 and Aloy's latest adventure, why not kill two birds with one stone?
It's important to remember that supply is likely to be extremely limited, as PS5 stock shortages look to continue into 2024. This opportunity is currently only available to customers in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
All you need to sign up is a PSN ID and the email address that is associated with it. If successful, and remember, numbers will be extremely limited, Sony will reach out to you with an opportunity to complete the purchase.
The bundle has also appeared at Argos in the UK, but only at select locations. You can check to see if it's in stock near you using the link below.

No official price has been given, but you should expect it to be slightly cheaper than both the console and game would be separate. Are you still on the hunt for a PS5? Commiserate with us in the comments section below.

That's one way to increase game sales
Maybe I’ll finally get lucky and be able to purchase a system close to retail price. Fingers crossed!
How sad you can buy an xbox series x everywhere now & ps5 is still out of stock everywhere so you have to put your name down. The majority of people will just end up buying an xbox
@Ryany To be fair that just suggests there is more demand for the PS5. It has sold more units total than the XSX and every time it is available it still sells out in minutes even 18 months later.
Though the Series X still isn't easy to get in many territories.
@themightyant it's easy to get in the uk & xbox will win this generation unless Sony get their act together I know so many people who wanted a ps5 & gave up & ended up buying an xbox.
@Ryany I don't think they means XBox will "win" the generation, supply isn't any greater, it just means it has a chance to catch up, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, given that competition generally drives innovation.
Seems a few months late. Though I suppose Nintendo continues to bundle Switch with MK8 and that game is like 8 years old so maybe going forward EVERY PS5 will be bundled w/ HFW.🤷
@theheadofabroom how are they not gonna win when nobody can buy a ps5? It will end up being a niche console if Sony aren't carful. Most people will just give up trying to get one & buy the xbox instead.
@Ryany it's easy to get in the uk but no one can get one? You're kinda all over the place.
Supply issues are plaguing both consoles. One could argue MS is handling it better but this ignores the huge demand for the PS5. And it really is incredibly early in the generation to be calling a winner.
Sometimes I get the impression I'm the only one who does any grocery shopping on this site. Like, the supply chain struggles are evident everywhere you look. Not sure what Sony is expected to do given this undeniable fact.
I suppose the good news is that if this is your first PS5 game then it only gets better from there.
@Ryany because they can only buy as many Xboxen as MS are behind.
PlayStation 5s are still selling as fast as they can reach the shelves. The fact that people can waltz up and buy the Xboxen that are arriving on shelves at the same rate does not magically create new Xboxen. If both parties are supply-constrained to about the same rate, and one party is selling its whole supply, there is no way for the other party to overtake it, is there?
To make things obvious with numbers, let's assume each company makes 1,000,000 consoles per month, and ships them to stores. For one of those consoles 1,000,000 sell within minutes of hitting shelves, for the other clears about 70% of what's on shelves in a given month. There's still only about 19-20,000,000 consoles out there, but over 19,000,000 of the PS5s are sitting in people's homes, while there's barely more than 14,000,000 Xboxen (split between S and X) in people's homes while around 5,000,000 sit on shelves in stores and warehouses around the world. Selling that 5,000,000 that are sitting around in boxes will only allow them to catch up, never overtake, unless either:
A) MS manage to increase supply while selling their stock,
Or
B) Sony stop managing to sell every unit that hits shelves within minutes
@zupertramp Xbox are easy to find in the UK, hardly anyone can get a PS5 because they're in higher demand. What Ryany fails to account for is the supply side issues with the silicon shortage (which is also why buying a car at the moment is a nightmare, if you want something specific you have to buy it before it even leaves the factory. I got one through Motability at the end of 2020 and had to settle for a ***** colour because otherwise I'd be waiting 6 months)
@zupertramp it's easy to get a ps5 if you pay more not many people are going to do that with how things are ATM. MS has purchased a large number of chips & that's why they can get stock out. Trust me I know so many people who wanted a ps5 but gave up & have now got the series x overtime the xbox will outsell the ps5 I'm telling you
One of these sitting in my local GAME today. £679 with an additional controller and a headset. I asked about the console/game bundle only as my mate is looking for one and they wouldnt do it. "Its to stop scalpers" she said. I told her that they were as bad as the scalpers. Forcing people to buy extra stuff they may not need or more importantly, couldnt afford just to line their own pockets. Greedy *****.
Just got a PS5 last week with Gran Turismo and i sold the game i had taken a shot at several bundles.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Same here had to pay €636 with a extra controller and Gran Turismo im just gonna sell Gran Turismo.
Been registered for months. Never gotten the invite.
Hate bundles because it bumps up the price for anyone that already owns the game
Always own a PS5 and Forbidden West, but will definitely be recommending to friends!
@Khayl This sure isn't the first PS5 bundle?
