F1 22 is fast approaching, and it's looking typically slick in this latest trailer. Codemasters has been producing top notch Formula One sim racers for many years now, and the latest iteration sees some big changes. In part thanks to major adjustments in the real-world sport, this year's game will be quite a departure from the last.
New cars with new physics are the most obvious change, but adjustments to track layouts and even more flexibility on race weekend features mean it isn't just the vehicle models. Adaptive AI is being introduced as well to help new players by adjusting the difficulty on the fly. You can now choose to control moments like pit stops and safety car, or let the game handle that for you with a broadcast-style transition.
F1 Life is the major new attraction, though, aiming to give players more customisation with their very own hub space. You can customise your driver and their outfit of course, but you'll also unlock new accessories, furniture, and even supercars with which to furnish your corner. Those cars can be taken to the track as well in Pirelli Hot Lap events.
It's all looking pretty good, although we imagine some fans might be sad about the lack of a story mode this year. Still, are you planning to get behind the wheel on 1st July? Tell us in the comments section below.

Still think Studio Liverpool did the best F1 games - Championship Edition on the PS3 still looks great.
That said, looking forward to F1 22, though I hope the microtransactions are limited to the F1 Life which I have no intention of going anywhere near.
Love me some racing games of all types. Although I haven't played an F1 game since I think F1 2017 I might grab the new one digitally once it goes on a small sale. Interested to see what the newest changes to the latest F1 cars will be like in video game form
More interested in the upcoming F1 Manager game this year.
Would be great if this was one of the games that gets a PSVR2 announcement.
I've just got a wheel and am currently looking at a seat so I'm very interested in this. Between this and GT7 I think I'll be having a lot of fun, even more so if both get PSVR2 support
This looked good,if not for the fact we all know it will be littered with micro transactions.
So,i will enjoy the real thing on TV instead.
Wondering if there will be porpoising issues too? 😜
Now they’ve finally got VR support, I might hit the purchase button - although I’ll probably wait a bit after the reviews come out to see if EA patch in more microtransactions & ads
