Deathverse: Let It Die, a follow-up to Suda51's free-to-play action game, was announced in October of last year, and it feels like the entire world forgot about it almost immediately. We've heard nothing about it since its unveiling, but it appears to be on track for its 2022 launch. An open beta has just been announced, letting players get a feel for the game while the studio tests its online functionality.
Showing on the PS Store, the beta test will be playable on both PS5 and PS4, and it all gets started very soon. You can pre-load the beta client ahead of the start date, which is 28th May 2022. It will run through to 5th June.
So, what's included? Well, details are thin on the ground — we only really have the Store description to go on. It's calling itself the "Limited Time Open Beta: Destroy the Server!" event, and will presumably allow players to engage in battles using Wilsons, multi-use weapons that can transform for various uses. The game itself looks to be a blend of guns and melee combat in supernatural arenas under the context of a reality TV show named Death Jamboree. Hopefully we'll hear some more details as the open beta gets started.

I'm not too keen on the multiplayer brawler arena thing this game is advertising, and would have much preferred a direct sequel to the first game. Loved Let it Die, despite its flaws.
Honestly I think multiplayer games like this are going to struggle to keep players interested unless they do something really special these days.
Let it die was pretty good fun for a few hours so I'll likely give this a go. It was the only F2P game I've ever spent real money on so it was doing something right.
Wow, I completely forgot about Let it die, played that game a lot back in high school, definitely gonna check thus one out.
Calling no homo: that man with the gold teeth is a stud. 10/10 would introduce to their daughter and feel good about it since he’s probably rich af. He’d likely die sooner rather than later (probably from conditions caused by obesity) so my daughter could inherit a lot of money. It’d make our family wealthy quick. My point being: I like his teeth
