I never understand these £45 ‘deals’. I did get Farcry 3 Blood Dragon tho’.
No one get Alan Wake. It’s an absolutely horrendous “remaster” which is more like a demaster
I'm playing Alan Wake at the moment and enjoying it! It's an old game and plays like it but I'm finding a lot to like
I would get Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, but I've already splurged on GhostWire Tokyo and the Lost Judgment and Ghost of Tsushima DLC. I doubt I will get round to those any time soon.
Wonder if they've noticed a drop in sales purchases since the ps plus announcements?
Think I'm gonna pick up Toejam & Earl Back In The Groove.
That will probably be it, tempted by RE3 but I, need to go back and finish up RE2
Othercide is a great game. Absolutely loved it...
@BReal - In what universe is a 4K 60fps remaster of Alan Wake considered a demaster? The original is barely 540p and runs at a frame rate in the mid 20's.
Wasteland 3 is an absolute gem and the final PlayStation game from this developer (thanks, MS!). Definitely worth picking up at that price.
@lolwhatno Lol, 3 games?! My backlog is 30-40 strong and reproducing like a rabbit farm! 😂 Props for keeping it at 3.
@Th3solution I thought the same!
And with PS Premium incoming, I have even less chance of getting it remotely under control.
Methinks will be saving a lot of money this gen. 👍
@Shigurui @Gloamin it looks horrible plays horrible and the sound is horrible. At times the sound is so bad the background noises are louder than the people talking and you can’t even make out what they’re saying. The character movement is janky af and the driving is basically pointless and totally uninspired. The combat still sucks and it’s still totally repetitive. None of that is improved. Back in its day it may have been a great game but as a remaster today it’s bad, really bad
@Th3solution I'm at about 200, myself.
@RoomWithaMoose Haha, yeah I’ve broken my game library into my own tiers and I finally had to decide what the highest priority to play is. I probably do have another 100 games which I wouldn’t mind playing but realistically don’t think I’ll ever get to. Even some of my top 30 might not get played because new stuff keeps coming out that cuts in line! 😅
Think Othercide is a carryover from last week because I bought it at that price, lol.
For £1.99, I had to grab Panzer Dragoon: Remake.
Looking through this list a couple of weeks before the PS Plus revamp is a bit of a minefield but I enjoy the risk.
@Th3solution Best help for my backlog would be for Sony to roll out folders in the next big PS5 firmware.
Chuck the unplayed in one, the never want to play again in another, currently playing in a third etc. Have really missed that on PS5.
Really wish Sony would let us know what games are in the new PS Plus catalogue. I mean, Catherine standards edition is the lowest price it’s ever been (and the special edition is full price). Is the standard edition a great deal, or are they doing this because it’s going to be on Plus? Can’t buy it at the moment.
@Gloamin potato potato. As I said, it’s bad don’t buy it. Put whatever precursor or caveat you want in front of that if it pleases you
@BReal - The audio mix was patched months ago. Everything else you mentioned is purely subjective. It's fine to not like something, fill your boots, but to say it's a bad remaster is completely untrue.
Wasn't the Games Under £15 sale up last week? Or am I mixing it up with a different sale?
@lolwhatno you're my hero.
@themuckman Great minds think alike. 😄 My PS4 has a “currently playing” folder, “unfinished” folder, “short game (<10 hrs) backlog” folder, “long game backlog” folder… Etc, etc.
@BReal nope Alan wake is good and can't wait for a sequel! I'd support it again. But keep hating
Waiting for Alan Wake to hit anywhere from $12 below. FF Strangers I’d grab if it was around $20. My backlog is so big right now that these deals are mehhhh. I still haven’t started Horizon FW, Atelier Ryza 2, Uncharted Lost Legacy, Yakuza Like A Dragon (2nd play through on PS5) and a bunch more. I hope others find some games they want/like and enjoy them!
I'd hold off on that remasters & retro one as it's probably to get as many sales as they can before they add them all to the new ps plus
Hm never played Shenmue (more than 10 minutes). Tempting but being so close to the full announcements of the new subscription tiers don’t want to pay for something we may get for free
