“With Ubisoft+ Classics, we’re providing PlayStation players with another way to enjoy Ubisoft games on their consoles,” beamed Ubisoft’s Chris Early. “This is just the beginning, as we will ultimately make Ubisoft+ available to PlayStation owners as we continue to build our vision and provide players with more options to access their favourite games, whenever and wherever they are.”
Ubisoft+ Classics will launch alongside PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium from 24th May in Asia, and then 13th June in North America and 23rd June in Europe. It’ll be followed by the full Ubisoft+ subscription later in the year, which includes access to day one titles and various other benefits, like in-game content packs and rewards. Obviously you’ll need to purchase that separately.

@Milktastrophe Same, however it looks like it will be "Ubisoft+ Classics" (older games, I guess) bundled while Ubisoft+ with every Ubi game will be a separate sub.
Wot no Rayman?
All starting to sound great to me. Looking forward to the new service.
Not really into Ubisoft games but pretty cool
@thefourfoldroot Where did you spot this? I'm working from the press release.
Wow. Not much into Ubisoft titles. So great for me as I don’t own except a few given out on ps plus. Then again I have too many in my back log.
Kinda shows me how little ubisofts back catalogue means to me. Transference would like to try as its in VR and never got round to buying it. Apart from that only games on that list Are south Park and Child of Light I would consider playing again

@thefourfoldroot Thank you, will update!
AC Valhalla is a legacy title now?!! 🤔
@get2sammyb
No problem. Think I saw the link first from another user on one of your other articles (or maybe another site, not sure).
confusing Ubisoft + is a separate subscription, ubisoft + classics included with ps+
Ubi and EA don't have enough content to be viable as subscription services, imo.
@Perturbator
They don't. They've got a lot of fluff content that isn't worth anyone's time.
Besides, I got Division 2 and the new Watch Dogs for around 5 bucks new. What's the point of their subscriptions if you can just own it for dirt cheap. Even for 5 bucks I have my regrets though lol
Not very exciting to be honest, I'd much prefer real Ubisoft classics like Rayman from the PS1. Also isn't Star Trek Bridge Crew getting shut down?
The last two Ubisoft published games I bought were the South Park ones! Haven't really touched them since the likes of Valiant Hearts/Child of Light,(which might've been PS Plus),& the wonderful,hair tearingly insane Rayman Legends! (Shame Origins never ported over).
For me at least their "classic",games would be Rayman PS1, the Splinter Cell PS2 trilogy,& Beyond Good & Evil! They can keep their grindy,open world & live service "classics"!!
Ubisofts completly forgot Rayman lol
Very cool! It's easy to poke fun at Ubisoft for a lot of reasons but one thing I always respected about them is they are almost always among the first to support any of the big three console manufacturers no matter if it's a new console or a service in this case. Always nice to see.
I find it interesting that the latest AC (and presumably the biggest moneymaker in the franchise right now) is considered a classic, but none of the older titles are yet confirmed.
Would now be interesting to see if they add their PS3 games to streaming part too. People will still complain that every game ever is not included though.
If only they'd make Beyond Good & Evil 2 instead of this
@tofuman86 what have they made here exactly?!
They said more games will be added (up to 50) people need to chill. Massive stench of entitlement around here.
@BoldAndBrash Yeah not much that appeals to me either. Even the latest Trials game ended up a big disappointment because they turned it into a huge grind to unlock the upper tiers.
That’s a nice surprise! I, for one, enjoy many of Ubisoft’s titles despite their flaws.
As usual I await all those that previous slagged off Ubisoft games suddenly loving them as they partner with PlayStation. But this is actually a decent get for their subscription service. Gamepass has EA and now PlayStation has Ubisoft. You gotta love it when Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo fight for our money…rather than rely on their biggest defenders crying ‘entitled’ at us.
Not the biggest fan of most Ubisoft games, but its nice to see this being bundled into the new service. Good on them for jumping onboard!
What's the point in Ubisoft releasing a service of their own if they're just going to add it to PS+PE and GPU with no charge?
Why not just add the games to the list of the existing service of the platform holders and not bother creating your own when it doesn't do anything? Unless I'm missing something?

I'd agree that they aren't viable for most to stay subscribed all year round but you can subscribe for a month or two at a time and get good value, especially on PC.
£12.99pm to play all Ubisoft's recent catalogue isn't bad at all but £156 per year is OTT. Perfect sub to dive in and out of.
Give us 1 Just Dance at least, no?
EA Play would have been better. This selection is crap.
I wouldn't say any of those games are old enough to be considered classics
Ubi+ adds 50 games. 20 assassin's creed, 20 farcry and 10 watch dog games😆😆
@GADG3Tx87 Ubisoft + has been around since 2019, originally Uplay +, and it only now finally making it way to consoles. So it been PC exclusive, and was never originally planned to come to console. With the way console are. It better to not directly compete with manufacturer and just integrate into any established service. But this allows people who are already subbed to the service on other platforms to advantage of it now on Playstation.
The issue on PC with Uplay+ is even though your signed into Uplay Connect to play your purchases games. For classic titles and I don't just mean FarCry 1 and 2 era The Division which isn't as old as those 2 examples you have to enter your password every time you want to start the game and for some games it can be twice just to get it started.
When questioned on their official forum they didn't really give a valid reason and have no plans to turn it off. Luckily you won't need that for consoles
I'll never use this feature since I prefer to own my PS4 and PS5 games, but glad to hear!
Great News, would love to see some real classic games.
Lmao this isn't ubisoft plus is a joke the proper ubisoft plus is now on xbox ( with day1 releases under its subscription service) while playstation gets a dog turd version just old games typical Microsoft opens its drug fund again 🙄
