It's been a little quiet in terms of key new releases lately, but one has managed to make its debut on the UK's physical games chart. Evil Dead: The Game arrives in fifth place, with the PS5 version commanding 56 per cent of the sales.
Meanwhile, Horizon Forbidden West holds onto its spot at number three, no doubt thanks to the appearance of more PS5 stock throughout the past week. Elden Ring has actually fallen out of the top 10 for what we believe is the first time, dropping from seventh to 11th.
The rest of the top 10 is business as usual, really. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga remains in second, GTA 5 clings to number eight, and FIFA 22 has bounced back to 10th following the news that EA is cutting ties with the licence.
Here's the latest top 10 in full.

- Horizon Forbidden West

- Evil Dead: The Game

Evil Dead game breaking the Top 10.
Groovy!
Nice to see Horizon Forbidden West sticking in the top 3, which means the ps5 is still getting steady stock in the UK
I've mostly heard good things about Evil Dead, which makes me happy as a fan of the movies - even if it's not my kinda game at all
Highly recommend Evil Dead: The Game. It’s definitely my favourite game in asymmetrical multiplayer genre.
@UltimateOtaku91 yes it is, many were too quick to hail it as a flop.
Hopefully GT 7 will renter the Top 10 at some point as well, it's also a fantastic game.
Nice 2 see Horizon 2 rank!
@Col_McCafferty yeah this very site was one of them. In that article where they implied that I said it was going to be like Miles where every time ps5 gets stock it will shoot up the charts which is what has happened every time since it’s release. It won’t have legs as long as Miles because that’s Spider-Man but it will do more than well enough for itself in the long run
@dark_knightmare2 yes, seemed strange to me on a PS site for there to be articles and comments hailing it as a failure (and kind of reveling in it as well) but perhaps they spoke too soon.
I don't think it will get close to the overall sales of Zero Dawn but it should more than make a profit for all concerned and merit a follow-up.
PS5 stock here in the UK was crazy last week, I saw sites have them almost every day
@Col_McCafferty Unfortunately this site is often critical of Sony and simply absorbing and parroting others agenda. Shame, as its a top site when its free of this.
But yes, its nice to see the game doing well, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I believe it deserves all the success its getting.
@Titntin Maybe they hope that Horizon flops because it's the least creative AAA game in recent memory.
@Bismarck Haven't played the game yet but i guess not every game has to reinvent the wheel.
Looks to be a half decent game. When I’m done playing the games I have I’ll definitely check it out. If it’s well done I don’t mind me a bit of the old ultra violence 👌
@Titntin lol oh yeh it is (in regards to being critical of Sony). I half expect them to start self flagellating at times 😂
@Bismarck yeah not even close to being true but continue to hate because that’s so cool
@Bismarck We are still waiting to hear what games you are playing that never chart? That you commented on in a similar article a wee while back. Please share so we can all run out and buy them and HFW is a damn fine game it's not our fault you aren't a fan of open world games!
Evil Dead is so good. It's probably going to become my go to MP game! I have a blast playing it.
56% of Evil Dead's copies sold on PS5 is impressive. I didn't find the source to see what the PS4's share of sales is. If combined, PlayStation has 3/4 of the sales that would be massive.
Really great to see Horizon in the top ten. If you haven’t played it already, do yourself a favor and pick it up!
Has GTA V ever slipped out of the charts?
@IMustardMitt yes. Several times.
@TheCollector316 According to Games industry. Biz, the percentage of copies on Playstation consoles (PS5, PS4) were 79%. The PS4 was 23%.
@JAMes-BroWWWn
Thank you. I didn't realize this article used that source.
@pushsquare I was wondering would you guys also cover the European Monthly Charts? As you cover the NPD charts (which is the American gaming charts) and weekly UK charts, I think viewing the European Monthly Charts is also very interesting. It's mostly Playstation oriented numbers so it might be an interesting topic for this Site. Plus it'd be just once a month. Just wondering.
Evil dead is a great game for the fan base. It's nice to see 1 player content added aswell, keep it up saber... .
@JAMes-BroWWWn Just depends if we can get access to the data. Is it posted anywhere? Games Industry.biz maybe?
@Constable_What I am really surprised how in-depth it actually is with character classes and then going deeper by unlocking builds for each person. Shocked the hell out of me plus it's nice that this and DBD can live in the same space but offer different things.
@get2sammyb Yes, its posted at Games industry.biz every month.
Here is a link to it, if it's ok to post it.

@pharos_haven I really hope they continue to exist, and push each other to be better games.
The Evil Dead universe (multiverse?) has a lot of potential, and I can't wait for it be explored with more Survivors and Demons. I got my Puppeteer to level 45 and my Arthur to 15 over the weekend, and man it is so satisfying to build your character.
Respecing whenever you want for free is great for experimenting.
@Constable_What I'm still too busy trying to unlock the other characters in the "Story" mode which is much more challenging than I had expected.
@pharos_haven Mission 3 especially is a nightmare. It's such a brutal, horrible, infuriating mission.
But you get Amanda and her ability is that she starts with a pistol, and can get infinite ammo for a few seconds which can be really useful.
My advice for that mission, is use your car strategically. It can do more than just drive you to the destinations, you can also use it to loop enemies around it, and give yourself some space.
@Bismarck right because Adding an open world to tired old Souls gameplay (where players roll and roll to dodge attacks in repetitive loops) is a breath of fresh innovation. Horizon 2 is innovating enough to become better than its predecessor. I know this from actually playing it and realizing that I cannot go back to the original game because I'm spoiled from the improvements made to the new one.
Also popularity doesn't indicate innovation. Keep in mind that Call of Duty sells through the roof every year and it hasn't innovated in decades.
