Update: We hate to say it, but we told you so. The Persona 25th anniversary stream was short and, if you were hoping for actual Persona game news, not very sweet. The six and a half minute stream revealed some merchandise alongside news that the upcoming Persona music concert is going to be broadcast worldwide — although you'll need to purchase tickets in order to watch it. We've embedded the video above if you want the details.

The moral of this story? Never expect anything — especially when Atlus is involved.

(Although, to be fair, some of the merchandise is pretty cool...)

Original Story: Persona 4 Golden finally being ported to PS4 or PS5?! A new Persona Arena game with Persona 5 characters?! Persona 6?! No. No. Don't even think about it. Seriously, take whatever hopes you have for this incoming Persona 25th anniversary stream and put them in the bin — because they ain't coming true.

Right, with that out of the way, let's dive into the facts. Later today, starting at 12PM PT — that's 8PM here in the UK — Atlus is hosting a livestream for Persona's 25th anniversary (you can watch it on YouTube). This specific stream is directed at Persona's Western audience, which is a real rarity, but again, we wouldn't go into it expecting any significant game news.

The stream will highlight "worldwide merchandise and events" — there's no mention of announcements or games, or anything that has the potential to make headlines on this website. Granted, we don't know what the "events" are — maybe, if we're incredibly lucky, there's going to be a big showcase or something later down the line — but it's probably to do with the upcoming Persona concerts.

Still, we'll be watching this stream (it's our job!), and we'll be sure to report on anything that's actually relevant to PlayStation games. We're betting on it being a quiet night, though.
