Redout 2 was given a 26th May release date earlier in the month, but the eye-melting sequel needs just a bit more time before it's race ready. The WipEout-inspired title will now launch on the 16th June — not a huge delay, but fans of futuristic racers will have to hold out for a few more weeks.
We've got quite high hopes for Redout 2. The first game was a real rush — as noted in our very positive Redout review — and we expect this follow-up to be a solid improvement. We've said this before, but with Sony seemingly set to ignore WipEout's existence for the foreseeable future, we'll gladly take Redout 2 as a capable replacement.

@JudgeDredd Good lord, I can only apologise. Not even our other editors caught that! Friday mentality.
Sony will probably launch another WipeOut when they've mutated it into some hideous GaaS model!
What is happening to PlayStation?
