Whoopsie-daisy! It appears that an upcoming announcement might have been inadvertently leaked ahead of time. Something called Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage has appeared on the Xbox Store, as spotted on ResetEra.
Back in 2020, THQ Nordic published a remake of the original Destroy All Humans, and we know that Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed is also on the way. While these are largely very faithful modernisations of the PS2 cult-hit titles, it seems studio Black Forest Games is taking things a step further. According to the listing for Clone Carnage, it appears to be "standalone DLC" that introduces multiplayer to the silly sci-fi series.
According to the blurb, this off-shoot comprises of "4 modes, 6 maps, and up to 4-player multiplayer", as well as local two-player split-screen. It continues: "Unleash your wild side in Rampage, Armageddon, Race, and Abduction modes". As you can see from the screenshots on the Xbox Store page, you'll be able to customise your Crypto clone with a wide variety of costumes.
With the remake of the second game on the horizon, it's reasonable to assume this will release at the same time. One interesting thing to note, however, is the Destroy All Humans 2 remake is only confirmed for current-gen systems, but Clone Carnage is listed for Xbox One, suggesting it's a cross-gen release. It is a standalone product, and it makes sense to take advantage of as big a player pool as possible — it seems this really is detached from either of the remakes.
Presumably, we'll be getting more information very soon — quite possibly during Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest presentation. What do you think of Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage? Beam down to the comments section below.

Seems like a logical way to expand on the multiplayer offering in the original Destroy All Humans 2.
After playing the recent remaster of Destroy all Humans, doubt i'll purchase another remake from this franchise as i found the game basic, even by the standards of the PS2 era.
Dont get me wrong it was a bit of harmless fun to whittle away the hours but there was no replayability.
Tacking on Multiplayer to yet another series that doesn't need it, did they learn nothing from SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated and it's tacked on bore-fest of a Multiplayer Mode that nobody played?
It says standalone but also not available separately so if it comes with the second game why bother with a PS4 / Xbox one version I'm not going to buy a game I can't play because I don't have a ps5 so that I can play it's standalone multiplayer dlc 🤔
I won't be playing this multiplayer spinoff, unless there are trophies involved.
