Aliens: Fireteam Elite is getting its first expansion next month, it's called Pathogen, and it will release on PS5 and PS4 on 30 August.
Introducing an all-new campaign, noxious new enemies, weapons, maps and more, Pathogen will provide budding Marines with more than enough reasons to round up a few mates and revisit Aliens: Fireteam Elite.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a competent enough cooperative shooter that we enjoyed for what it was when it launched. Will you be picking up Pathogen next month? Skitter about in the comments section below.

Couldnt get in to this Alien game but i wouldnt mind another Alien Isolation style game. The origional could do with a ps5 patch too. Updating the frames, adding in ray tracing and HDR.
Pretty much forgot about this game.
Will probably pick it up though.
Was waiting for more story content. Looking forward to jump back in.
Forgot about this game ngl, though it's nice seeing it get supported. Definitely better than Aliens Colonial Marines.
It is crazy how I just finished the original campaign.......Now I get to play the expansion. It is like they know!! So excited for this.....
Needs a first person mode. AND couch co-op.
Love this game... currently just one trophy away from the double platinum.I'll definitely be jumping on for the DLC.
I'd love to know why they're ignoring a possible alien isolation sequel.
Definitely dug this game and the journey to platinum was both fun and a stiff challenge. That said though, I'm not sure I'd pay for more of it unless there's trophies involved.
@Steve30000 Not the same dev team
@everynowandben doesn't mean it's not impossible
@Kidfunkadelic83 I'd love to see a PS5 patch or upgrade/remaster for Isolation, would finally convince me to try the game out.
I already own it, just busy with other games in my backlog.
Having recently completed Alien Isolation after gearing up my nerves I will say the game looks fantastic on PS5 even for a PS4 title. You're missing out by putting it off over a few enhancements which imo wouldn't add much. I would have loved a sequel
@messimagician you talking about Isolation? If so i might jave to fire it up as i never got very far through it. Heard it was a little too long and dragged in the final third with the androids etc. Did you find that?
@Kidfunkadelic83 no I never felt it dragged. Some parts were quite tricky when you come across the droids but you soon work it out. Its a fantastic game, the music, alarms, lighting effects, hearing the Alien in the vents knowing it could drop into the room with you at any moment all adds to the atmosphere. I put it off at the start because I couldn't cope with it. I'm not sure why because I was so use to playing Resident Evil series during ps1 days.
Plus it has quite a few DLC challenges and one that involves the cast of the first Alien film
@messimagician ive actually got it and all the DLC. Im just not very good with anything horror at all. Infact, im terrified of it 😂
Ive missed so many games id love to play and have even tried to play but just cant break down that fear barrier. I got as far as when you first see the droids and that did it for me 😂
@Kidfunkadelic83 I put it down to games being more realistic haha. I got to the point where you first see the Alien and it kills the guy who's helping you. Then you after wait for the train to arrive, the alarm is going off, the music changes and becomes more intense and I was panicking for the doors to open up. I got the game when it first launched but after that experience I put the game back on the shelf until I decided to play it again 3 months ago haha
@messimagician i remember that bit too. The first time i got spotted and he ran towards me i covered my eyes 😂😂
