There may have already been a 1995 sequel to Flashback in the PS1’s forgettable Fade to Black, but that’s not stopping Microids from releasing Flashback 2. The game – coming 30 years after the original – appears to adopt a kind of 2.5D perspective, and will once again plot the return of protagonist Conrad B. Hart.
“After his victory over the ‘Master Brain’ in the first episode, Conrad and his allies are once again confronted with the Morphs, who threaten all civilizations,” the blurb explains. “Moreover, his friend Ian, who has answers to many of Conrad's questions, has just been kidnapped in front of him... A trick of the Morphs? For what purpose? It's up to you to find out.”
The synopsis continues: “Help him and his allies to solve this delicate and dangerous investigation through five levels full of action and shoot-outs and to fight the Morphs who are preparing a Machiavellian plan for total control of the solar system.” The game’s due out on the PS5 and PS4 later this year, with more news to follow in the coming months.

The first game was one of the first games I ever finished on the megadrive many many moons ago. Not sure about this though
The best game of the 16 bit era by some margin. I can almost remember the feeling of putting on that gravity belt for the first timeAl!
Hopefully it won't be like Flashback 2013.
Enjoyed the original when playing on the Amiga 😎
