Final Fantasy XIV really is the gift that just keeps on giving. The massively popular MMO's most recent free content update, Patch 6.15, is now live.
This latest update adds new steps in the Chronicles of a New Era questline, pushing Final Fantasy XIV's central narrative thread ever forward. There are also a bunch of new sidequests to engage with, perhaps the most crucial of which is the next stage in the always hilarious Hildibrand saga.
Further changes have been made to PVP (specifically affecting the Ninja and Black Mage classes), furnishings from the FFXIV Design Contest have been added, and new cards and NPC opponents have been added to Triple Triad.
You can read the extensive patch notes in full over at The Lodestone.

First... also I'm glad this game has such an epic comeback. I would play but I don't have any friends... or money.
Tried playing it again recently after a six or so year break, and there is so much to do in it now. I ended up forgetting about leveling or the story and running around the world challenging npcs to triple triad.
Using a controller can be a bit fiddly sometimes, especially in the more challenging dungeons or when trying to talk to people, but this is one of the few games that supports mouse and keyboard on playstation, which I may end up looking into.
